Are you actually "trying" for a specific gender? If so how are you doing it? I've heard of some methods but not sure exactly how they work.

I would like a boy, but we are not really trying for one gender. Right now we will take a healthy happy baby!

With the "Shettles Method"...they say if you want a BOY, have bd the day before and the day of ovulation. In hopes that the "egg" will already be released and just waiting to be fertilized. And basically it will be a race to the finish line, and the male sperm is a faster and stronger swimmer then the female sperm.

If you want a GIRL...bd farther from ovulation. The female sperm live longer (in fertile cm), and will be waiting patiently for an egg to be released.

Because I've had one m/c already and it's taking us forever to get pregnant, I now don't care what we have. A boy or girl..as long it is healthy. But....there is a little part of me that still hopes for a BOY..=P

I would love a girl, but after trying for over a year, I just want a bfp and h/h pregnancy and then of course a beautiful baby of any gender!

I feel the same way as both of you, as long as the baby is healthy, I don't care. But, I think we do have an inner desire, I would love a girl as this will be my last pregnancy.

With my last preganancy, that ended in m/c, we were trying the shettles method, I bought the book, it doesn't sound like a half bad theory, but now I feel a little supersticious about the whole idea after what happened, but that is just me. I have heard women who have done his method and conceived what sex they were looking for!

At this point, I just want a healthy baby. But there is this tiny part of me that wants a boy.

I'm not trying for either but I would prefer another girl.
I'll take a boy but I would definitely rather another girl. I'm just not cut out to be a mother of a boy I'm way too girlie.

I have never heard of these different methods for different sexes. That is a cool to learn even if it isn't for real. I would absolutely any sex. I am not picky. Some days I want a boy, some days I want a girl. There are pros and cons to both.

I would like to have one of each....it would be nice to have twins and only have to "worry" about getting pregnant one very longgggg time instead of wanting 2 more children and being pregnant twice...whats that old saying, "knock out two birds with one stone???" But I'll just take one of whatever I am blessed with as long as they are healthy and happy little babies!

I'd like another girl, but would love another boy too. With one more definitely being our last it doesn't really matter.
