Ok, so here it is, 5 weeks post D&C. From my temps, my chart says I O'd last week. Of course, I forgot to pack the OPK's when we went on vacation, but continued taking my temps. My temp has stayed up like it should, but then 2 days ago, I had a little spotting, it stopped, then today I'm having what is almost a light menstrual flow, but still considering it spotting unless it gets any worse.
So, if it does get heavier, it means I would have a very very short luteal phase. I know this is my first cycle after m/c, and it may or may not really be AF just yet, hard to say unless it continues. I have heard a lot of girls say they spot a lot before they really get that first AF.
What I'm worried about is that I was going to start TTC right away this month after this first cycle. But I would be scared to do that now if I do have a short luteal phase....from everything I've read, it can cause miscarriage....I do not want to increase my chances of another m/c...so now I'm torn on if I should start TTC again this month or if I should chart a whole nother cycle just to see if that evens out...
I guess I will have to wait and make that decision after I see if this is really AF? UGH! Why does everything have to be so confusing?

HI, it's hard to say if you actually O'd or not. You have two open circles which means those temps may not be accurate and you could have O'd sooner than you FF says if you did in fact O. The only way to be sure if you have LPD (luteal phase defect) is with blood work (checking your progesterone level) and with an endometrial biopsy) LPD There is an article on LPD through JM.

I don't know if I helped you make a decision on whether or not to try next cycle or temp another cycle, but I hope I did give you some info. Good Luck!

With my first cycle after my m.c I didnt even O at all. A good friend of mine she had a whole 5 day LP after her m.c. I would wait it out and if your LP is short next cycle too then call your dr.

It's really hard to say. I think some people O right after a miscarriage and some are annovulatory the first cycle. I wasn't charting after I had my miscarriage so I really am no help on this.
