this is my 2nd cycle charting but 5th cycle ttc. last cycle, around O, i didn't have a temp dip & i wasn't using FF so it was hard for me to determine O date. well, this cycle, my temps seem to look way different. is that normal? i'm sure it's nothing bad or anything. i'm actually hoping it'll be easier for me to determine O date because of these temps, although FF does that for you. i've been taking 81mg of asprin each day to help with clotting. that couldn't affect it, right? i don't see how it would. so, anyways, can you check out my chart & tell me what you think? i should be oing today or tomorrow...woohoo!!

Some people have more similar patterns than others. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Agree with Teresa everyone is different and once you start charting more your see more of a pattern in each chart. But not every chart is going to look the same hun.

Also the reason why some cycles you have a dip before ovulation and some you don't is because the LH surge causes a sudden dip in your temps and depending upon when you had the surge makes the difference between whether you have a dip in the chart or not...Just the same as the mythical "implantation dip" which is also simply caused by a surge in estrogen that every women gets in the middle of the luteal phase.

See if you get the surge say at 9 at night then naturally you would have a dip in your chart b/c the next morning your body is still being affected by the hormone surge. If the surge is 9 am in the morning then you most likely would not get the dip in the chart since by the time you take your temp the hormonal change is already finished. Does that make sense???

HEres a chart that can help understand it:
