Does it really matter when you test before your missed period? Or can you test anytime, like a couple weeks before? I guess I must've got lucky on my timing when I found out I was pg last year. I just had a couple symptoms and decided to test out of curiousity.

Testing with an hpt you mean? You should NOT test any sooner then 11DPO if you ask me. Testing 2 wks before AF due it around the time you should be ovulating so that is pointless. Once you O I would wait it out 11-12 days before testing.

I wouldn't test any earlier than 3 days before AF is due.

I think that a woman who has a long LP can check sooner than a woman who has a short one. If your LP is like 15 days, you would be more likely to get a BFP 5 days early. If yours is 11 days, you aren't really likely to get a BFP because the egg would have *just implanted.
