I am so lost. Sad, huh? I wasn't expecting my temps to keep dropping. Before Leo I had anywhere from a 26 to 32 day cycle and before Megan was a perfect 28 day cycle. Anyhow, couple questions. OPKs, how soon before you O do you start seeing something on your OPKs. I am not talking positives, but faint lines or something. So far my OPKs are white as snow. I was thinking I would start getting something on them soon, but I don't know. Do most of you get faint lines before a positive OPK? Oh and do you think I actually O'd at the end of last cycle?

Teresa

Once you get + on OPK, you generally O within 12-36hrs.

I know its different for different women but i see a progression on my OPKs. Like five or six days before O is start to see a super faint line, then it gets darker as O approaches. Heres what peeonastick.com says about this...
Quote:
20. Will I see my OPK lines get darker before I get a true positive? Maybe. Some women do experience a "fade-in" pattern, and some experience an "almost positive" shortly before their true positive. However, it's not necessary to observe this pattern. In fact, you might see your test darken and then get lighter. It doesn't necessarily mean you missed your surge; some LH (luteinizing hormone) fluctuation is normal, and there are variations in the individual tests as well (some have more or less dye, for instance.)

Ultimately, there is no need to compare your OPK's; each test can be read in isolation, either positive or negative. If you are one of the women who sees a fade-in pattern, consider yourself lucky; you have some extra, advance notice of your impending LH surge.

For examples of a real life day-to-day OPK comparison, see my OPK Odyssey.[/b]
As for your temps that keep droping i would say thats a good sign. Even though you might have expected your temp rise already i would say so far so good. You follicular phase may just be longer this cycle. And as far as O'ing last cycle you really missed alot of temps so its hard to tell.
HTH!

If I use internet cheapies there isnt a line until I O. if I use first response then I get a faint line starting up to 5 days before I O and getting consistently darker until it is positive.

I've never tested after a positive to see how long it lasts.

I'm glad you asked this question, cause I was interested in the answers as well. I'm confused as hell right now. A few days ago, I started to get faint lines on the OPK's, so I was thinking like you...maybe it was a lead in or something, then last night, nothing. Just white, not even the faintest line. So, I start thinking "uh-oh, did I miss it or something?" Then this morning, I have a jump in my temps. AAAHHH!!!! We had skipped 2 days of BDing too....so if anything, I'm still saying I haven't O'd just yet...because of the tests...but all other symptoms are good. I do have the internet cheapies though...so maybe...maybe I should go buy some more expensive ones today...I just don't want to miss my window this month...

With me I dont get an increase in darkness on my opks leading up to O. I will get an faint line and it will stay that way for about a wk then it will go positive. Its hard to say for everyone hun, I would just keep doing them because you dont know you may just all of the sudden get a positive opk.

Since you are still BF I bet your cycles still aren't quite on track so you may not O same time as you did before. kwim. AS far as opk's. I start using them when I start feeling O pains. I usually get faint lines then all of a sudden my + blaring at me! I don't like the cheapies because the cycle I used them, my cheapie wasn't quite a + but my first response was.

As far as Oing on your previous chart, I'm not sure. You had a really high temp in there, so possibly. Good Luck Teresa!!!!
