I don't know much about temping and all that stuff, but I started temping the other day when I started spotting. I am on birth control but I was taking an antibiotic and I had spotting the other day, which, if I got pregnant while taking the antibiotic, it could potentially be implantation. So, I had a basal and started temping and this is what I got so far:

5/6- 97.65 -spotted
5/7- 97.74 -spotted
5/8- 97.89

Doesn't really mean to much right now right? Are those very low, or is that something that varies from person to person? Anything anyone can tell me would be great!

I'm not sure sweetie. I never was on BCP before. You've had no spotting today and your temp went up? Are you using a BBT therm? What CD are you on? All of this would be much easier if you charted. Hehe!

Lol, I know, but it wasn't planned so I don't really chart I was using a BBT yes, I had one when I was contemplating trying. I'm on CD 20 or 21, I can't remember exactly which day I started last month but it's definitely either April 16th or 17th. I am thinking more along the lines of the 17th. I was on an antibiotic from 4/26-5/2. DF and I had 4/27-4/29 all to ourselves minus the little guy, so, yea lol! As you can see, it's a VERY coincidental time line.

Really hard to say my sister had mid cycle spotting when she was on BCP. Also temps vary from person to person. I would stop the BCP until you know for sure your not pg hun.

If I'm not pg though, I don't want to mess up my cycle cause I'll start bleeding if I am not right? Will the pill affect the baby if I am? It's low estrogen (Loestrin) so it's supposed to be a safer pill anyway.

How many mos have you taken the pill hun? I would call your dr just to see what they say. I know that I was on BCP when I got pg with DD and I didnt know I was pg, I took almost 3 mos after I got pg because I had what I thought was an AF. She turned out ok, but its really hard to say hun, I think we got lucky with my DD.

This would be my 3rd month on this birth control......I am just afraid to stop taking it, and start a cycle and mess my system up. I have 6 days left of this pack for active pills (including 2day).......do you think I am ok to just finish this month out? I will test before I start a new pack.

It's hard to know if you are pg or not with those temps. If you think it's possible, then I'd call your doc and see what they say about the bcp. Good Luck hun, hope it works out the way you want.

I agree. I think taking BCP will make it impossible to chart as well. If you think you might be pregnant I would stop your pills and use a back up method until AF shows or until you can test.
