Ok so Im probably gettin annoying with all the questions, but Im still trying to figure out all this charting stuff.

So Im wondering about Crosshairs. I know my chart doesnt have them, or probably never will this month. But I was wondering what they actually are. Why do some charts with ovulation have the cross hairs and why some dont.

Thanks guys!

Well, to try and answer your question, , If you chart accurately (same time each morning and before getting out of bed) then if you O you should see a shift in temps and get crosshairs. Temping alone is not completely accurate for some, but with monitoring CM and I like to use opk's then you will know if you have O'd. kwim.

My doc wanted me to use opk's and temping to confirm O which I think is the norm for most docs. Good Luck hun, I hope you are Oing today!

So is the cross hairs the vertical and horizontal lines that you see on the FF charts, the red ones???

If so why do I sometimes see charts that only have a vertical line, and not the horizontal as well?

There are normally two red lines on FF, the vertical one is the day of O the horizontal one is the one that shows your coverline (the spot where you want your temps to stay above). Some people override FF and put their own O date in, and don't set a coverline so there is only a vertical line.
