Hi everyone! My name is Meegan, I'm 28, and DH and I are currently TTC #2 after a m/c in December. This is going on cycle 6 of TTC, and I'm getting really frustrated. Before I m/c, I was Fertile Myrtle and knew exactly when I ovulated. Now, I'm not even sure IF I'm ovulating. So I'm going to start charting when AF shows her face on Friday. I'm going to do FF I think, since I see so many of you using it. Do I start temping ON the day AF starts? And when is the best time to temp? Another question lol, should I invest in a BBT or use my son's regular thermometer (it's kinda slow on temp taking though). Thanks for your help!

Get a BBT, I had a reg thermometer and noticed that my BBT shows a better shift then the reg one did. Also whatever time of day is best on you, I get up at 7am to get DD ready for school so I temp at 7 before getting up. Best to start temping the day AF shows up hun. WELCOME to the fertility charting board hun!

I temp every day - even through AF. I purchased my BBT at Target for $10.99. And you can temp whenever you want as a good time, just as long as you generally get 3 hours of sleep. I think a lot of us temp between 6 amd 7AM on here.

HI and Welcome. There's a sticky at the top of the board that gives you ttc tips. As far as when, well before you get out of bed in the morning, but should be the same time every morning! I used a reg therm when I first started temping then swithced to a bbt. If you can get your hands on a bbt then that's best! Good Luck!

WHat brand is your son's thermometer?
Usually a BBT is better, but there are some types of regular digital therms that are ok. I personally prefer a thermomter that does NOT read to the hundreths, like 97.72, it makes interpreting the chart harder. But, that is just me. The BBT thermometer I have measures to the tenth, 97.7. It might just be what I am used to but it keeps things more organized looking.
