This may sound stupid, but because I'm new to charting, I don't know the answers to these questions. How much does things like the amount of blankets on a bed or whatever affect your temps?

I ask because some nights I'll use a comforter, and other nights just a sheet. Some nights we use a fan, other nights just an open window, and sometimes both. How much can these factors make my temp vary? Any ideas. I figure it's best to get this info now, because I am just starting a new cycle today.

Well most sites will say that room temperature doesn't affect your temps because it is the progesterone within your body that affects temps and fans, sheets, and other outside influences cannot affect the levels of progesterone present. Things that will affect your temps: drinking, injury, illness, etc. HTHs

OK thanks. I wasn't sure, so I've kept everything as consistent as possible, but many nights that leaves me sweating like pig, and with the temperature rising outside, I think it might start affecting how much sleep I am getting. I know that lack of sleep can affect your temps. It's good to know I haven't been sabatoging my own chart by opening a window occasionally though.
