Hi,

I have decided to take some vacation time this week (Sat-Wed)and then I will be working completely different hours for the next 5 weeks.

How do I temp during this time? I usually temp at 6:30am, now while I am on vacation I will not be getting up at that time and when I go back to work I will be working the night shift (3-11pm)...then in 5 weeks I will be going back to my reg. hours.

Can someone please help me with how to adjust my chart so my temps aren't all over the place?

Thanks,

Renee

Well from what I've always understood there is no point in taking your temp if you can't do it after your body has been at rest for 3 hours or close to it. I know that one morning my temp was 97.06 or so and later on that day at worked I temped just for fun and it was 98.1 so I think the variance would be too big to adjust it.

I would be temping first thing in the morning when I get up so i would have had at least 3 hours of sleep.

It's just that my wake up time would not be the same as it is right now (6:30am). I most likely would wake up around 8am.

Can't you just set your alarm for your normal time, take your temp and go back to sleep? That's what I do on the weekends.

I guess I can do that...I would need to do it for the 5 weeks I am on evening shift too then...I am a light sleeper, so I may have trouble getting back to sleep...guess I can use the temp correcter if I have too...
