I'm a little confused by a couple of things. First, I thought that your temperature is supposed to drop when you start your period, but mine is just as high as it has been for the last week and a bit. Does it just drop gradually? Because it's actually higher than it was yesterday.

Also, I almost always have a 28/29 day cycle, so this past one was three days longer than normal. I was fairly certain in the past that I Oed on day 14 or 15, but this time round it was day 17, so does a person generally have the same length of luteal phase from cycle to cycle, and thus ovulation day will affect what day the period will start? Or is this last cycle simply off from "normal"?

Are you sure that this is your AF? Is your flow normal or lighter than normal? Some women get bleeding when AF is due, but it is light & usually ends sooner than normal... ends up being a BFP.

My temp didn't go down much right away after AF came this cycle either. Actually it went up on the day I started... then it went down the 2nd day... and waaay back up again! I think that temps during AF tend to be a little erratic, from what I've seen... but if your flow is abnormally light or stops all of a sudden, you might want to test!

It's definitely AF, there's no possibility of pregnancy this cycle (no BD).

The weather is changing also, that can effect your temps. I know mine are higher in the summer than in the winter. Sorry af came, yes I do believe that your LP is the same generally. So if you Oed late then AF should be later also. JMO, I'm still in the learning stage myself.
