Hi all,

New to the forum and looking for some advice. Hubby and I are ttc #1 and have had some problems. I have been charting for almost a year. Last november i had a miscarriage (or so we think, long story) and since then have been having some irregular cycles. Mainly they have just been longer than normal. I have had a triphasic chart for the first time, and am 2 weeks late. I tested right before the temp chart went triphasic and it was neg. I'm really hoping that this is it, but I'm hesitant to test again. It seems like since last November, any time I'm late it's nothing more than that. The disappointment is beginning to get to me. Any advice on a triphasic chart? My cycle start May 3rd and temps stayed steady around 97.2. Day 35 is when I started ovulating, with a temp staedy around 97.7. 8 dpo my temp has gone to 98.1/98.2. It has been there for 3 days and I am current;y on day 45 of my cycle. (Normally they are 32 days)

HI and WElcome!!!!! I agree, if your temps are still up in the 98's then I'd test as well! Good Luck! Also AF is not late yet since you O'd later. IF you O'd on cd35 then you should expect around 50 day cycle! Give or take! Good Luck!

Temp still up today. 98.2. Yesterday morning it was only 97.9. I'm wondering if it would be too soon to test, since it's only 12 dpo. I may go get a test this afternoon and try it in the am.

Ditto what Cheryl said, you're techinically not late for af (aunt flo) yet since you ovulated late. I'd wait until 14 dpo before testing. If your chart went triphasic at 9dpo, that's probably when the baby implanted (if you're preggo), so you may not have enough hcg in your system yet to trigger a positive pregnancy test.

How long is your luteal phase? That will tell you when to expect AF.

Curiosity kills the cat...temp again today at 98.1. I bought a test and did it this afternoon (first mistake, should have waited until morning), and it was neg. Luteal phase is normally 12-14 days, which would put me at starting AF sometime yesterday through tomorrow. I guess I'll wait a few more days and try again, no signs of AF other than sore breasts. Although I am getting nervous...

Also, is there a way to make a chart and post here?

So temps still at 98.2...14 dpo and only 6 days since triphasic started. Anxious to test, boobs really tender, and back hurts bad.

You can chart on Fertilityfriend.com and then post the link if you want. It sounds like this could be it. Did you get a First Response Early Response (FRER)? Those are the most sensitive ones out there! Good luck, if you test tomorrow!!!

I think I got the regular First Response. I tested again this am because the emp went up to 98.3, but it was still negative. Now I just think I'm losing my mind

I'm pretty sure the regular first response requires 100ml of hcg to test positive. The early response only needs 20-25ml. So you may just have tested too early with the regular first response. Your temps sound promising though. I wish I could see them in chart format though, it's just easier to interpret when you can "see" it, kwim? lol. GL!

BTW, the last time I had a triphasic chart was in October, and I had a miscarriage. I had the miscarriage on day 50 of LMP. I never did test positive, but went to the doc to confirm.

WOW, you're already 15 dpo! Since you said your lp is normally 12-14 days, I'd say that the chances of you being pregnant are quite high! GL!

Everything seems to point in the right direction, but a First Response test this am was negative. I think I'll wait another week.

If your test is still negative at 18DPO I would go to the doctor for a blood test if I were you. I read somewhere that if your temps are still high at 18DPO and no AF you are likely pregnant. I'm planning to get a blood test too if my HPT is still BFN at 18DPO. Good luck!

Well, no luck this time. Temp dropped to 97.2 this am and I noticed light spotting. AF will be here tomorrow full force. Until next time....
