So last night DH and I fell asleep on the couch watching movies....it was FREEZING in my house, we woke up at 7 and just waddled back to bed and took my temp it was 97.24...I woke up at 10 and freaked that I didn't temp at 6:30 and thats why my temp was low . So I temped as soon as I opened my eyes and got a pretty high temp of 98.24. Should I discard these because it was so much later than my normal time?

Edited: because I forgot a key part of the info *duh* I need more sleep

Not yet. Just put it in FF and make sure you change the time to 10:00. Then it will be an open circle.

After you get some more temps, you'll be able to tell whether it fits with the general trend or if it's way off. If it's way off, sticking out like a sore thumb, then you might discard it because it could throw off your chart. But it might actually fit okay. You can't tell until your chart evolves some.

I'm a moron today....I forgot to mention that I took my temp at 7 when I got in my bedroom. It was 97.24....however I had a + OPK yesterday, should it dip today? I used the earlier temp for my chart....I thought when you O'd you were supposed to have a rise? I will take another OPK tonight....This is so confusing!

You usually don't O on the day of the + OPK. You should O within about 36 hours after. And then your temp finally should go up after that.

So if you got a + yesterday, and maybe are Oing today, your temp should start rising tomorrow. Some people do have dips on the day they O. Or you might O tomorrow (that would still be within the right time after the + OPK) and then your temp would go up the next day.

Get to BDing! Be sure to get in today at least.

HI, Yes, use the 7am temp and yes if you had a +opk yesterday you could expect a dip today. Make sure you bd today/tonight. YOu can ovulate anywhere from 12-72 hours after a +opk.

Good Luck!

Thank you guys so much! I had a melt down about an hour ago. I had another +OPK this afternoon but since it was father's day (and also my moms bday) we had no time to bd until we got home. So I thought I'd take another OPK when we got home to be sure it was still + and it was -.......I cried for about a half hour until DH came and gave me a pep talk which led to more BD These tests confuse me....hopefully I have some high temps tomorrow!! Thanks again guys for all your help!
