Seems I am full of temp questions the past couple of days. Next cycle I am going to write this stuff down! Ugh!

Anyway, this morning I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and temped. It was 97.97. I decided to try an experiment, so I went back to sleep, and temped again at 7 a.m. when my alarm went off. It was 98.17. That is a .2 degree difference in just 30 minutes. I don't think that my thermometer was still warm, as I get results in a minute or less, so it isn't like it was exposed to my body heat for that long.

WDYT?

Nah, it'll stick around in your head after the first month!

Use your first temp. You weren't asleep long enough for the second one to be valid. You are supposed to get 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep for your BBT to be accurate. Your BBT can rise in that time, I think most people's rise throughout the day & waking time. (I could be wrong, I know mine lowers)

As soon as you rise from bed your temperature can start changing, the same thing happens if you temp and then retemp. Your body can change temperature by up to 1/2 a degree in a 1/2 hour.

Mine does the same thing. You should stick with the temp you took after the most amount of sleep. It makes such a difference! Sometimes I'll take mine when I first wake up... just LAY THERE for about 5-10 minutes and take it again... it's gone up! Amazing how the body starts "working" when you wake up even when you don't do anything! Anyway, my point is, stick with your 1st temp.
