What does it mean...

If your temp goes way up the day after you should have O'ed (higher then any temp that cycle), but then the next day drops WAY down (lower then any temp that cycle), but you also have a + OPK.. what the heck could THAT mean?

I just don't get it. My ONLY + OPK this cycle before today was on CD18 (medium intensity test line on CD17 and CD19). Definite negative on CD20/CD21. My temp went up on CD21, so I figured that I O'ed on CD20. Why would my temp have only stayed up one day (yesterday, CD21), then drop significantly with an almost + OPK again the next day? I had only very minimal CM during when it seemed like I was O'ing, but now I have quite a bit of CM. I know it seems like a secondary estrogen surge, but I'm confused about why. Or could my first have been a mini-surge and I am actually O'ing now? Or maybe my first O failed and my body is trying again? Ack.

But yeah, what the heck? How is that possible? So my temp went way up on CD21.. higher then any other temp this cycle, so I thought, 'great, I O'ed on CD20.. awesome'.. I had that one + OPK on CD18, so I figured it just took me a few days to O, whatever.. but then today (CD22), my temp dropped WAY down, lower then any other temp this cycle. I really wasn't even going to OPK after yesterday but thought what the heck, and it's freaking POSITIVE.. huh?? And my CM is also much more abundant, not EWCM though.. a bit creamy and gummy like before, just more of it than the alleged 'original O'.

So after googling all day, there are a few possibilities: 1) implantation temp. drop, though this isn't possible if I JUST O'ed on CD20.. not enough time 2) secondary estrogen surge, although that's usually mid-luteal phase, not so soon after O'ing.. and I think it's usually after implantation occurs 3) I never actually O'ed the first time, just got an LH surge and either I am really O'ing now, or my body is TRYING to O again and this was just the tail-end of another surge. But is there anything I am missing? I am having a hard time understanding what's going on.

Sooo.. apparently I know absolutely nothing, or someone up there is messing with me. What's strange is that I took another OPK a few hours later (first was around 1:30pm, so not like it was a first pee mistake) and that was definitely negative. However, that is exactly what happened on CD18, I got a + around noon and did another around 7pm and it was totally negative. So maybe I surged overnight on CD17/CD18 and the same thing happened last night. I have no clue.

So yeah, I give up. I guess if my temp goes back up tomorrow then it will seem like I am trying to O again.. and if it doesn't, well then I'll just get a puppy!

PHEW, thanks for letting me vent .

Positive, right? Or am I insane?

I need visual effects. Can you add your chart to your siggie, or post it here? It would make it a little bit easier to see what is going on. As far as the temp versis your OPK, I'm not too sure. Like I said I need visual effects.

Sorry I'm not much of a help.

LOL at getting a puppy!!!

Careful, you'll end up with a petting zoo likes ours...

I'm not much help, other than maybe the second dip was a fallback rise?

hehe, thanks

Negative OPK today, only a small temp increase (96.28 to 96.54).. so yeah, I don't know if I O'ed before or if I am now.. I guess we'll see.
