I have a question for you all, if you temp early say an hour and a half early but dont get out of bed and go right back to sleep to where you cant even remember the temp, then temp again at your normal time. What time should you use?
I have read and heard so many conflicting stories about that. A friend of mine said her RE told her to always use the temp closest to her waking time, and if you wake early, to correct the temp. Others (including FF) have said to never correct the temp, just enter it with an earlier time. I've never gotten a consistent answer from anyone about it.
I was told if you get up to use the first temp but if you didnt get up and went back to sleep I am confused! I did that this am and I used the second temp because its closer to my time and also because I fell back asleep. It was so bad the thermometer fell out of my mouth when I temped at 530!
I had that issue this morning, I temp'ed really early and got a very high temp.. but I didn't think it was accurate because our bedroom door had closed somehow and it was so HOT, I was sweating. I went back to bed (had a migraine) and got up 3 hours later and got what seemed like a more realistic temp.. so I am counting that. I forgot the first one anyway.. I really need to write them down, lol.

Yeah, I'd be using the second one, especially if it fell out. But I would mark in the notes the reason, and I'd probably mark sleep deprived (which I might as well have as a permanent check on mine, lol)

Well I have to say that I am one who rarely gets a staright 3-4hrs of sleep. I deal with insomnia, wake up every 2hrs or so, even if it's tossing and turning. It doesn't seem to effect my temps at all. So I don't believe it makes a big difference but I am not the expert.
