Hi all, I'm Elaine, 36 and DH is 35. We've been married for 5 years and been TTC #1 for 5 years without success. I've been dx with PCOS, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, fluid in the uterine cavity and some scar tissue (on the outside wall of the uterus) due to a myomectomy surgery.
I'm currently posting in the JM TTC Older Members board but I have some questions regarding BBT charting so I'm posting in this board today, hoping someone can help with my chart.
Do you think I've O'd yet? I can't read it clearly. There is no significant "dip and rise" in my temp yet but I've been getting watery CM and today CD17, I think there is a little bit of EWcm. Furthermore, this month's chart looks very different from the previous two months (with clear a dip in the temp and a chear CH). I don't have an OPK, they are too expensive to buy because my cycle is irregular and I don't know when to test, so I'm relying on checking CM and on FF charting. Do you think I should continue to BD until a clear temp rise? It would be difficult to BD tonight because yesterday I had some onset of UTI, yikes, but I've been drinking lots of cranberry juice and I'm feeling better today. What do you girls think about my chart/s.
TIA.
Elaine

First off, welcome to the board. I'm Stephanie, one of your co-hosts here. I hope you'll stick around and ask questions anytime you have any.
As for your chart, it looks to me like you tried to O on CD 15, but I'm not sure that you did. You could be having a fall back rise. We'll have to watch your temps for a couple of days to know. I wouldn't stop BDing just in cast though. You might not have O'd just yet, and I really think you will be in the next couple of days, kwim?
Good luck!

I would BD tonight just in case. You may have O'd on CD 15 or you may be getting ready to O now since you have fertile CM.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your UTI...they suck. Your chart reminds me of my last cycle. I did end up O'ing. But I also had a UTI. I O'd on CD17 according to my peak on the FM...but FF didn't confirm my O w/bbt...I did find out I had a UTI on the same day... Sometimes the O can be delayed due to illness. Mine wasn't. I also have endo and fibroids and adeno...I haven't been dx w/PCOS...I used to have long cycles, too. But for some reason they are 29-34 days now. I use a fertility monitor, I love it. I also use OPK"s. I just buy them online. I just bought the OV watch too. It sure looks like your body is trying to O...BD if you can, if not, then don't. When I got a Peak on my FM, I told dh we needed to BD, he said, no, not w/you being sick. I don't want to hurt you. You need to get feeling better. We'll try next cycle. So I figured okay...drink some cranberry juice...I see that you are. But if it starts getting bad. You might want to call to get on some antibiotics. Then when you get feeling better, you can be okay for the next cycle...make sense??? I don't know if I helped or not.
I started BCP's in Sep and was on them for 5 months. Wondering if that's what shortened my cycles. I don't know. I also did one month shot of Lupron in June 2006...
I love my monitor but I also bought those cheap internet OPK's, when I have a weird cycle like last month. I was quite pos that I O'd on CD21...Wish I would've had an OPK then.
Hope you get feeling better!
What stage of Endo do you have. I have Stage 4...no fun.

Hi Jen,
It's sad to have fibroids and endo, huh? My fertiliy doctor has kinda implied that I fit almost all the text book cases of infertility in women (/cry). My endo is not very severe, the main problem is the fibroids. I think it's called submucosal - the type that is embedded inside the muscle/wall of the uterus and sometimes it juts into the uterine cavity and impinge it, causing implantation difficulty. The endo has been removed with laparoscopic surgery in 2005, luckily it wasn't a severe one. And I hope they haven't come back. eeek.
I'm feeling better today and we DTD yesterday because I convinced my DH it was OK!! I took one antibiotic pill and drank like 1.8L of cranberry juice. I think the reason I had UTI was because I didn't urinate after BD, I wanted to keep all the spermies in. It's important to pee after BD!
I think BCP would regulate the monthly cycle but I'm not 100% sure. I hope you'll have a better cycle without the UTI next month (hugs).
Regards,
Elaine

WOW! I just want to share a little story here. My sister has endo and fibroids. Her doctor didn't hint at anything. At the age of 16 her doctor told her that she would never have children, that her endo would continue to get worse, and encouraged her to have a hysterectomy. Supposedly she was the text book case of infertility too. Well, my sister is now 24....still hasn't had that hysterectomy, and has TWO beautiful and healthy children! Her DD just turned 2 in June, and her DS was born in January. Sometimes even the best doctors can be wrong.
Good luck ladies! I hope you both get your 's soon!

Hi Stephie, thanks for the encouraging post. Sometimes miracles do happen. My DH and I are hoping for a miracle baby too. Sometimes I wonder how much harder do I have to pray, maybe God is testing our patience. (J/K) Oops, I'm sorry! I'm just scared that I would get too old to be a mother and it would be difficult to look after rowdy kids at age 50, kwim. I dread the question "Are they your grandchildren?" Urgh!!
I'm still keeping a positive outlook and hopefully the baby will come in the next couple of months.
