I know a lot about charting but not a lot about OPKs. I had two light OPKs a few days ago (neg.) I had a postive yesterday and then a negative today (slight line there.)
Are the negatives the beginning and end of the LH surge? I'm assuming so but just wanted opinions.
Thanks! Cross your fingers for a thermal shift tomorrow.

From what I understand, you can get a positive OPK 12 - 36 hours before you O. The positive comes at the peak of your surge. Remember that you are not supposed to use FMU with an OPK, and that the test line has to be as dark as, or darker than the control line to be a true positive. Hope that helps.
Good luck, and I hope you get your temp rise!

Thanks! I know that middle one was definitely a postive. The line was there and darker than the control almost immediately. So even though the others were negative, I can still assume that my LH peaked and I will probably O, right? I feel so obsessive, I rarely ovulate this early.
What does FMU mean?

FMU = First morning urine.
And if you had a positive, then yes, I would assume you are going to O. Don't stop BDing until you are sure you did though. I've missed it before because I stopped to soon.

DH is away until tomorrow. I hope the BD on the positive day will be enough.
Thanks!

I think I need to give up OPKs. I didn't sleep too well last night but my temp didn't rise today. I guess I got excited about early O for nothing.

In my very limited charting experience, surging doesn't necessarily mean that you will O.
I had two positive OPK's last month (far apart), but I am pretty sure that I did not actually O.

I'm hoping it's a slow rise and I'll be above the CL tomorrow. Here's hoping anyway.

The OPKs that I bought said to use them in the morning if you have trouble holding your urine for 4 hours.

I think there is a button on the same page of my chart that will convert it to F for you. I'm not 100% sure.
I did have a decent temp rise today. We're in the middle of a heat wave, so cross your fingers that it's the real thing.

Eh, I can't find the button. I know when I used the free trial of ovusoft it was on my main page to switch it back and forth.
I do know if I am not preggo this cycle I am buying ovusoft for real. I say it all the time, but this time I mean it. I like that you have more choices for CM and stuff.

I seriously love Ovusoft, I have a really hard time with FF. OS seems much more accurate for me too. You can always add your past cycles into it so it start detecting your pattern right away.
I'll look around and see if there is a way to switch it to F.

You don't have to change it. Is the rule still the same for the temp shift? three temps .2 above the previous 6? or does the number of tenths change when you are using celcius?

Yes, the .2 C is usually how it's calculated by my software.
