I have been getting these crazy hot flashes and someone told me to test my temps in the afternoon so naturally I did because I can't patiently wait for answers! Anyway, yesterday my temp was 99.26 at 2p.m. and today at 3:15 p.m. it was 98.82! My body is on fire! What gives??

Good they're staying high but your daytime temps tend to be substantially higher than when you first wake up. They can change in 5 minutes even!

I'll admit, I take mine in the daytime in the 2ww, LOL... mine have been staying in the mid 98s... much higher than my morning temps. I don't think it really means anything though... just that we're in the 2ww...

ummm....you can't take your body temp (bbt) in the afternoon. You're suppose to take your temp being doing anything physically. So just before you get out of bed.

By taking your temp in the afternoon, you would have done physical things already, thus raising your body temperature fairly high. So whoever told you to temp in the afternoon is mistaken.

We'll I got my BFP a few days ago and I tested because I was getting hot flashes in the afternoon....bad! I took my temp when I got home just to see out of curiosity and it was 99 something. I sit in air conditioner all day so it wasn't from running around...usually my temps are in the 97's and go to maybe lower 98's after O but never ever in the 99 range!!! I think your chart looks awesome!!! I can't wait for you to test!!!

BTW I don't think she used her temps in the afternoon for her chart, I think she was just testing out of curiosity IMO

I've been taking mine in the afternoon to. At around 3 today it was 98.99. Much higher than it normally is plus it probably isn't real accurate because I had just been drinking water out of the refrigerator. Normally my temp doesn't even hit 98.6.I'm taking it right now. I've been sitting here watching TV and posting....not moving much at all, mouth breathing and in the direct line of TWO fans and its 99.24. I'm not sick so I'm hoping that it's a good sign for us both!

DAYTIME TEMPS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO MEAN ANYTHING, BUT IT IS A HARMLESS WAY TO PASS THE TIME!

I think your chart is looking good.

I am a temp taker. I take my temp all the time, see a thermometer? not anymore, it is in my mouth. Even before I charted I took my temp all the time. I think that is why I like charting, my DH doesn't give me the 'you are a psycho' look as often anymore.

My normal body temp is below average, but in the late afternoon is when it is the highest, in the 98s. Usually it doesn't get that high.

As she said, I do not use my afternoon temps for charting.... just because I'm having these terrible hot flashes!! I don't feel sick or feverish, but my temps are high enough to be a fever for me. I can't wait to test again either, but I am starting to get nervous that it's just AF symptoms! Glad I'm not the only one!! My temps are abnormally high for me... that's why I keep afternoon temping to see!I'm glad I'm not the only crazy temp taker!!! It's becoming an obsession.

I'm scared to test again because last test was a BFN...

My temps are not accurate today either, which totally ticks me off. I could NOT sleep last night... I woke up like every 2 hours. So I took my temp at 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. but my normal time is 7 a.m. I am SO FRUSTRATED!!!!! I think that's why I couldn't sleep.

I just want AF today or a BFP... is that so much to ask?

Thanks for continuing to stalk me though ladies, it's very encouraging.
