Hiya all, I've been playing with my chart. On one first chart I've put down + opk on CD15 (which is actually a fake cause I didn't test) and it makes my LP 16 days long, which is normal for me. But if I use the correct chart, it shows my O day on CD18 but that would shorten my LP to 13 days (!). I'm worried that my LP is getting shorter. What do you girls think, which day do you think I O? Is it CD15 or CD18? Do you think I should worry about my LP getting shorter if the second chart is more accurate?

I don't think there is a *huge* difference.. it could just be a random shorter month, kwim? Heck, it could be as short as mine! lol

Are you OPK'ing?

I wouldn't change it. In fact, until today I have never even used a temp corrector. I normally advise against making any changes to your chart. The only reason I adjusted two temps on my chart was because I temped 4 hours late on one of them and 5 hours late on the other. Even a 16 day LP is still a very good length. I really wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yea, I should not change my chart even if the LP is 13 days, it's still OK, right? I'll confirm it with my acupuncturist when I see her this weekend. I don't think 13 days LP is a cause for panic yet.

No, I've not used an OPK yet, I dunno how that thing is supposed to work. I think OPK works better for ppl who has ambiguous CM and they can't tell their fertile days, but since I could still differenciate my CM, I'm timing my BD using CM checking and BBT charting. I don't want to waste money on tests incase I need another 5 more IVF cycles. YIKES! Oh Please NO!! (my husband and I don't have insurance coverage for IVF treatments but we're saving enough, I think, hopefully). Anything, to have a child to hold in my arms.

I wouldn't add a fake OPK test, it just wouldn't be accurate. KWIM?

Are you taking vitamins? Vit B complex helped lengthen my LP when it started getting short.

Why did you have an open circle on CD 16? With the way it is right now I would say CD 19 for O, because the temp is high on CD 16. CD 19 is the first temp were the shift goes more than .2 higher then the highest temp of the previous 6.

Heya Meghan, I had an open circle on CD16 because I woke up later than my usual time. I think I took the temp at 9.30am instead the usual 8~8.30am. But you're right, FF will give me CH on CD19 (if I don't put in EWCM on CD20. I don't know on CD20 its actually EW or leftover from DH, tmi). But if it's really CD19, then my LP would be only 12 days (gulp). hmmm one more problem to worry about now. ack!

A 2 day LP is not something to worry about. It isn't considered a problem until it is less than 10 days. My LP is very rarely longer than 11-13 days. It has been that way since I started charting almost 8 years ago and I have three healthy children.

I completely agree. I think you probably O'd on day 18 or 19 as well.
