This is my first month charting and it seems like my chart is all over the place!

Yesterday I checked my CM around lunchtime and it looked clear and stretched just a little (maybe 1cm) before breaking. I checked it when I got home from work around 6 before BD with DH and it actually looked cloudy and not stretchy, but was pretty thin. My cycle is an average of 33-34 days long so I am thinking I am due to O sometime in the next several days. I think somewhat thin but creamy CM is "slightly fertile" and that I should be getting more and more fertile from here on out.

But my temps seem to be all over the place. Does anyone else who charts have that problem? When you O does your temp REALLY go up so you can notice? I've had some highs in there already!

We in general have been BD around 6pm when I get home from work. When is a good time to check CM so that it's not confused with semen?

watch for EWCM or watery CM if you see either, assume you are fertile and BD like crazy! It might be harder to see when you O at first if your temps continue to be all over the place, but it is still possible to interpret them. I'll keep stalking your chart over the next few days to try and help you interpret it.

Some of my charts have been all over the place, too. I just pay as much attention to my cm, and we try to BD as much as we can throughout my cycle, my DH enjoys that part I usually can tell even with my rocky temps that I have O'd, as my temps will go up a bit higher than all the rest. Last months especially was nuts because of my lack of sleep.

You may want to try temping vaginally if after a few cycles they are still all over the place. A lot of women have more stable temps if they test vaginally.

Thanks, I think my temps are definitely related to how I've been sleeping. If I toss and turn they are higher, if I am sleeping like a rock they are lower. Today my temp dipped lower than it's been all month, 96.3. I do have a longer cycle though so I could still be a few days from O (average 33 days).

If you are BD every day when is a good time to check your CM so you don't confuse it with... er... other things. We are BD in the evening.

That looks like it might be a pre-O dip! Go BD! As for when the best time to check your CM is..... I don't know about anyone else, but I've found that when I am BDing all the time, there is usually some leftovers from DH. It was just a matter of trial and error to learn what was from him and what was from me! lol There is a link somewhere of the different types of CM. I am going to try to find it for you. I'll post it as soon as I can find it. (Or maybe someone else has it and can post it.)

Thanks, I've seen it when someone else posted. Yesterday my cm was milky but very very watery - not the least bit stretchy though. The day before that I swore I had some that was clear and a little stretchy (like 1cm stretch before breaking) and then later in the day it looked creamy and very thin (yes I do check more than once a day, I'm nuts).

This may be way TMI but I'm learning there isn't really any such thing around here - yesterday when DH pulled out he seemed to have a bunch of EWCM all over him - totally different than usual where he's just kind of moist - he had lots of very slippery clear stuff clinging to him (OMG I can't believe I just shared that). I have not yet checked my CM today, we BD pretty late last night, around 11pm and I wonder if it's still some leftovers. I try to check my CM a bit later in the day.

I've had EWCM before and I know what it's like, usually it's VERY obvious. I knew I had it before I even knew or paid attention to what it was. I haven't been noticing lately whether or not I'm getting it though, I just remember in the past noticing it. I'm 33 and not the thinnest person in the world so I'm kind of afraid I might not O even though I have pretty regular cycles.

Speaking of which, does anyone experience weight gain around mid-cycle? Right around mid-cycle (O time) I generally gain 3-4 lbs of water weight. It has been happening forever.
