like the title says, i keep forgetting to take my temp. Which I guess is ok since I don't think they'd be that accurate either with breastfeeding, not sleeping well, etc.

My question then is......do you think using OPK's plus charting CM and CP will be good enough to determine if I 'O' this month? This is my 3rd cycle after having IUD removed (had IUD 7 months) and am still exclusively breastfeeding so I am not totally sure that I am ovulating. I am on cycle day 10 today.....my 1st cycle after IUD was 27 days, 3rd cycle was 30 days, so not even sure when I should start using the OPK's.

Thanks for any help, I'm a total charting newbie.

Here's very little advice from a newbie to a newbie.

I think the temps are the most important part to charting. CM and cervical position are secondly important. I'm not sure if you'll be able to tell if you O'ed just off of other factors aside from temps.

But, I'd like to hear what other people have to say on this. It's a good question.

Unfortunately, breastfeeding kind of throws a kink in ttc. When I was ebf and hadn't gotten my cycle back, for several months, maybe 6+ mos, I would get random EWCM. I think my fertility was trying to return, but never actually did. You may even experience lh surges (+ opk), and then end up nursing and delaying the ovulation. We ttc for 2-3 mos while I was ebf and I was charting and not o'ing even tho I would occasionally experience fertility symptoms. GL!

I'm still bfing, but have had my cycle back for a year now, so I'm o'ing.

Well i'm hoping the breastfeeding won't throw it off, i Am having cycles so would assume I'm ovulating, just not sure when.
