My temp plummeted today. I guess my lp is 12 days. Now I just have to wait for af to get here. I feel so ridiculous. I've told everybody that I'm ttc this month. Everyone is expecting me to be pregnant. I bought maternity clothes. We've been paying for Aflac. I even delayed ttc so that I could for sure have a May baby. All for nothing. I don't know if I can go thru this every month. Not to mention that dh is constantly changing his mind.

I'm gonna go drink a huge cup of CAFFEINATED coffee, and I'm going to drink like a fish tonight on my date with my gay boyfriend.

It's only your first month... it's not that common for it to happen the first month.

I understand you being down, though... At first I was excited that I could be pg. on my anniv, then when that didn't happen, I thought I could do it and announce it on DH's b-day. That didn't happen, either. So, now I'm just letting fate decide on the right time and I'm praying alot!

Let's see if you get AF tomorrow.

Thanks ladies. Dh is being so positive about trying harder that I'm feeling much more optimistic. We got pregnant on the first try with both our boys, so this is uncharted territory for us.

I really don't want to come across the wrong way, and I'm hesitant to say anything, but it's only your first month trying. I've been TTC for 18 months, and wasn't preventing for 18 months before that, and so many women here have been trying for several months and even years and have endured the feelings that you're feeling right now over and over again. That doesn't discount your right to feel the way you do at all, I just wanted you to know that one month is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. I conceived my daughter very easily and assumed it would be the same when I wanted another baby, but that was foolish of me - and boy is the universe teaching me THAT lesson! lol

I'm not offended by your frustration (though I am sure some may be), it's a completely normal emotion... but please try to be patient, conceiving is not a right, it's a blessing. I hope that your new cycle works out the way you want it to.

First why the open circle...maybe the temp isn't accurate? Second... AF is NOT here...you in all reality could be pregnant....so I would not drink like a fish yet if it were me.

Have you tested yet? It may still be too early, but you never know!

Thanks! I temped about an hour early, but used the temp corrector. My actual temp was 97.6 (below coverline), corrected temp was 97.77. I also slept horribly, but I would think that that would actually raise my temp rather than lower it. I'm having a lot of cramping today which combined with the big temp drop makes me really feel like af is on the way. I hope you're right though.
