Before and after all my pregnancies I always had a 28 day, ovulate on day 14 cycle. But now, after getting the IUD out on June 13th my 1st cycle was 27 days, 2nd was 30 days. I am now on cd 18 of my 3rd cycle, have been using opk's twice a day since cd 10 and haven't gotten a pos. yet. Also haven't had any ewcm yet. So I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe i'm not ovulating? Or maybe i'm just ovulating really late which in turn I guess would give me a very short luteal phase therefore ruining any chance of getting pregnant soon. Or i'm just reading way too much into it since this is my 1st month charting anything at all. I haven't been temping because I think that will just confuse me more than help me since I'm up off and on through the night and it would be difficult for me to temp accurately.

the IUD can totally screw with you. Normal cycles(per my GYN) are anywhere from 21 days to 35 days. Don't give up hope yet. I'd suggest trying to temp also if possible, it will definitely help you get a better feel of what your cycle is doing.

You could just be ovulating later this cycle (it happens sometimes) or you could just be having annovulatory cycle... most women have one or two of those a year. I wouldn't worry too much, unless it was to happen two cycles in a row.

Thanks ladies!! I am still exclusively breastfeeding also so I'm sure that will play around with my cycles too. I guess I've just been so used to clockwork cycles all my life.......literally I could predict down to what hour of the day my period would start thats how regular i was.......it's hard to adjust to being "irregular". Hopefully things will smooth out soon......or even better I'll get pregnant soon and not have to worry about all the cycle crap lol. Heck I deserve some time off from bleeding, i bled every single day of the 7 months i had the iud in!

hmmmm, i just thought of something else..........I didn't start using the opk's until cd10.....I wonder if just maybe i got my surge before then? like maybe cd 8 or 9. Looking back at my opk's the first ones were darker then the later ones (but not positive), and now they seem to be getting a little darker again. Who knows. Just my mind trying to figure it out lol.

Just for kicks, here's some pics;

maybe getting darker. I hope you O soon. I totally feel your pain. I'm on CD 22 or 23 now, and still no O. I usually O around CD 17. Give or take two days in either direction. GRRRR!

hmmm, ok so here's my opk from this a.m. I took this one with FMU cuz ...... well....... I had nothing better to do lol. Now this one is pretty close to pos. right? Isn't it unusual though to get a pos opk with FMU? Sorry, I'm totally ignorant when it comes to these things.

I'm really not sure about using FMU with them. Try taking another in a few hours and see what happens. I really think you are getting ready to O. Good luck
