If you all remember last time I went to the doctors I got sent away with no blood test and told to come back in a week if AF has still not shown up. At the time I was given one of those sterile pee cups and told that if I come back to bring FMU with me....

As you know I got a BFP on Sunday, then Monday and again today. I dipped the test I used this morning in the same pee that I brought to the doctors office. BFP, darker than yesterdays (FRES and blue dye +/-, yes I did 2 LOL).

Get to the doctors office, she uses the same pee for a urine test and tells me it's a BFN. I ask how is that possible? She says, well, maybe you're not pregnant...So I pull out the 2 tests and tell her what I've done and ask her how is it possible I get 2 BFP and you get a BFN with the same pee? Not to mention the digital and like 6-8 other tests I've done in the past couple of days.

She tells me that her tests have a level of 10, at least that's what they are advertised as....I responded that whoever is selling then the tests is lying..

Anyways, I finally got a blood test and I made her check my progesterone too. I should have the results back tomorrow afternoon or Thursday. She gave me another slip for more blood work and told me "you won't need to use this if your levels are high, which I'm sure they won't be" The nerve!!! Otherwise I have to get another bloodtest on Monday to make sure levels are still ok.

Long story short...I have no idea why HER test showed BFN. My temp is still up, AF is not here and on MY tests I am still getting BFP.

Don't worry I will not be going back to her after Monday. She did give me a referral to an OBGYN so that's good.

I am just assuming that I am pregnant and trying desperately not to worry......

WTH??? She is nuts. Did she show you the actual test or did she even bother testing it at all? I hope the bloodwork comes back all good and that you can get in to the OBGYN asap.

Excuse my french but doctors can be such #####!!! with my first child the doctor I had at the time told me the same thing about the levels not going to be high!! i immediately went to another doctor and they put me on the progesterone suppositories. I am so sorry your having to go through this so early in your pregnancy, now is a time to rejoice and relax in your own miracle you have finally achieved and that stupid doctor doesn't need to be raining on your parade!! You are pregnant girl and that's all that matters! You have the happiest and healthiest 9 month possible!! I am thinking about you and your new lil bean!!

Hey Renee, your dr. is weird..... no one is "slightly pregnant", once you've tested pregnant, you are pregnant!! Three or four tests cannot be wrong. Does your dr. know about your previous m/c? I think you should get extra attention because of the m/c and maybe get some progesterone or something... I hope you'll find a good gynae soon. If possible, get another dr. the one you have right now doesn't seem to care very much

Take care and lots of sticky baby dusts for you. I hope to join you in the DDC club.

Unfortunately this is the same doctor I dealt with last time, so yes she knows about the previous M/C, I guess she just doesn't care....

Renee,

I'm glad you have your blood work done. The people you have dealt with there have not been acting professionally. That wouldn't fly in any industry, but it certainly should not be happening in medicine. That is part of the reason I quit med school. Starting at that time, the future doctors get their attitude. I truly hope your bean sticks and you get your results back quickly! Be sure to check out that OBGYN she referred you to! I can't remember now (my 3am memory sucks), but I'm thinking you're in Canada, so you have to be referred and can't just go to anyone you like, which sucks. Is there any way to change your primary physician?

Good luck!

I'm from Canada yes she can change her doctor, but if it is anything like it is where I am. You are lucky to find a family doctor. So when you do it is hard to change. I hope you find answers soon.!!!!! Good luck!!!!!

Dont mind her, she's just jealous you got a BFP and not her Thats dumb though. You would think that It's her job and she might want to look after people a little better.....Or even let the person above her ( the " REAL" Doctor ) let know whats going on...
