Would you call CD1 a day you had spotting, or the first day of 'true' bleeding? Just wondering!

I call the first day that I have spotting cd1. but only after it is followed by a little heavier bleeding.
Last month I had spotting or really light bleeding on the first day of period. It got heavier the next day so I counted the spotting as cd 1 hopes this helps.

If it's heavy enough to require a tampon or pad, I count it as CD1. If it's just enough to get on teh TP, it's spotting and not CD1 to me

You are not supposed to count spotting as your first day. As soon as you have heavy bleeding you count that as your first day.
