i posted this in TTC, but no one even looked at the topic. so i'm just gonna paste it here.
have i not ovulated after all?? i am so confused. around lunch today i wiped and had absolutely perfect EWCM, there was no mistaking it. stretchy, clear, didn't 'dry' out. this evening i tried out my ferning tester that i got in the mail saturday and, omg, it was transitional. there were lots of crystallized 'ferns'. i marked transitional because the ferning pattern wasn't just overgrown. has anyone ever used the ferning test? oh, and my monitor went to low fertility this morning after being on high forever. this is my first month using it, so i'm not surprised at the high reading for so long.
my chart is freaky, too. that huge dip then jump was wacky. i know i keep asking these questions, but i just want to know if anyone has had any of these things happen.
i'm really starting to think i didn't o on cd12, but on cd 23. what do yall think?
*forgot to add...i didn't get my progesterone test results back today. the dr was out and he hadn't signed off on the lab results. ugh!! plus, when i entered this data into FF, my CH went from solid lines to dotted.
added...about ten minutes ago i checked my CM again...and it's tacky now. not stretching and thickening up.
i'm worried because DH and i didn't BD at all since a week ago. we did BD twice on sunday, once in the early morning (went back to sleep) then again in the late afternoon. if i did o on saturday, is there any chance i could have caught the egg???

Honestly I am not sure. I wasn't sure when I looked at your chart earlier. I don't see a clear temp shift. I think your cm looks good for ovulation but I am just not sure what is going on. I will look for your temps in the morning and see what I think. It is tough just waiting and watching. I still haven't o'd yet myself. It is making me crazy.

If it were me... I'd be doing a HPT tomorrow morning.
I think your chart looks great as far as temps go. Not sure about the ferning as I have never done that. Does ferning show + if your are pregnant too? Maybe it is like an OPK and reacts the same way? .................
Okay I went and googled "ferning pregnancy". Looks like it may be a sign of pregnancy.
I hope you get a BFP very soon. Lots of

I don't see a clear thermal shift either. I'd keep hounding your doc to find out what your progesterone levels are. That will be your best indicator as to whether you have O'd yet. With clomid you are supposed to O fairly early on, I believe before CD20 is ideal. They may want to put you on provera for ten days and start another cycle. Good luck girl.

i'm going to get those levels this morning, one way or another! i have a feeling AF is about to start. this cycle has been plain wacky, if you ask me. i don't know if it's been the s/e of clomid or what but i've had weird things all cycle long. i really hope the next cycle isn't like this.

I agree with Bobbie! I would test and see what you get! It very well good have been an implantation dip. Kind of odd that it dropped way below your coverline but it's back up and that's a good sign.

I think the reason some of you are seeing a shift is because of the way FF draws their coverline, one of the reasons I don't like FF as well. I honestly do not know how they draw their coverline but if it were drawn using the Fertility Awareness method you would not see the coverline in the same place. It would be much higher and the temps following where FF has crosshairs would be dropping below the coverline. This is why I am not sure that you have ovulated. Here are some links on the fertility awareness method and drawing your coverline
I hope that you are pregnant but honestly I am not sure that you ovulated. I agree with Jennifer you should really talk to your doctor.

i had checked into the FAM and at this point, i'm not sure it would have made a difference. i posted in TTCMA, i got my progesterone levels back and they were 1.1!!! apparently i hadn't o'ed when FF said i had. i kinda knew for sure after i had that weird temp dip and jump this past weekend, plus i've had EWCM monday and yesterday.
the good news is that my dr has gone ahead and referred me to a RE. my appt is on the 26th. yeah, this was my first cycle on clomid and it was the lowest dose, but we want to go more aggressive. so maybe the RE will be able to help. i guess i'll know more in two weeks, one way or another!!

(((HUGS))) I think with your progesterone level as low as it is and not having a shift on your chart that you are probably right that you didn't ovulate. I am really glad to see you have an agressive doctor and that he is referring you for help. I hope that they come up with a great plan to get you pregnant and that you have your bfp before you know it!! I am really sorry about this cycle.

i'm sorry too, but in a way i'm not because i would have not been referred to the RE. i'm really excited about going to him and finally getting some help. and i wasn't too keen on the clomid with my regular gyn...he never said anything about bloodwork, u/s, etc. and after reading on these boards, i know you have to keep up with that kind of stuff!
i'm far from hopeless...i look at it this way, i've been pregnant twice with one birth. both times were without drugs, charting, trying, etc. so i can get PG. i think i just need a little push!!
tomorrow we go for DH's SA...i'm excited about that too. one more test off the list!
