Ok..I'm new to the charting forum so hello all! Af came today late by 3 days! So I didn't have a bbt to start this morning. Can I start tomorrow morning? What do I do after I write down the temp? How long should I temp before I call the dr. ? I also bought some more opk tests..what else do I do? Thans, Tisha

There is a good tutorial on fertilityfriend.com....although the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility is the bible.

As far as temping during AF, I think you can start pretty much anytime during it, it doesn't matter.

A lot of us keep track of our temperatures at Fertilityfriend.com. You just put in your temp each day and it creates a chart for you

Welcome to the fertility charting board. I definitely recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and signing up for Fertility Friend. You can start temping at any time during AF and a lot of women don't temp at all during their AF.

To best learn your fertility signs, you will want to temp, use OPK's from about CD 10 (on average) until you get a positive OPK, check your CM(Cervical mucous) and CP(cervical placement). All these things can tell you sooo much about your body. The book and website we recommended will help you a lot to understand these things.

I agree with everyone else. You can start temping tomorrow. That should be fine. I would also recommend fertility friend. The most important thing is to try to temp the same time each day before getting out of bed. Good luck to you charting.

I agree with everyone else, in addition you can check out one of the stickies that is on the board on Charting Tips. It's a GREAT overview of charting and kind of gives you a quick idea of what to do. That helped me a ton before I got started! Good luck and let us know if you need anything.
