Hi ladies. I just needed to get this out to someone. DH doesn't really get it so I don't want to dump on him.

My cycles are so long and screwed up right now. Because of that, I don't know how to time BDing right to catch the egg. At first we tried our '30 day plan'. All that came of that was us being exhausted! (We weren't charting at the time.... actually, we didn't chart for several months while TTC.)

So... this time around, I was trying to BD around my CM. I didn't really have any at all this cycle. When I saw anything that seemed fertile, I wrangled up the hubby for a romp!

Well, if you look at my chart... it claims I O'ed three days ago. I don't know if actually did O since I was dry as a bone down there (sorry). What I do know is that I didn't have any fertile CM on the O date. I did two days earlier and made sure we did the BD that day.

So, I'm afraid that yet again, we didn't time the BDing right again. I know it's possible, but I find it hard to believe that sperm can live in the body for up to five days.

I feel like I blew my chances again... even if I did O (which I still have my doubts). And, when my cycles are so long right now, I have a long time to wait to try again.

I'm just bumming today, sorry.

I'm here rooting for you hon--and you do have a shot this month. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!!!!!!! Try not to be too hard on yourself. I do know how easy it is to get really obsessive and down about temping and what your body is doing.

If you need to vent, please don't hesitate!

Thank you.

It's great to be able to come here and be understood. DH is caring and all, but he isn't stressed like I am. And, since he's not a woman, he just doesn't quite understand.

I second that. They never really truly understand, no matter how caring they are. :-)

Have you tried using opks? They've helped me a lot.

Oh sweetie! I know it can be so frustrating trying to figure out what's going on with our bodies. I still have trouble with CM & CP. We're always here to listen and help! I would definitely think about OPK's like Jess recommended. I'm going to give them a try this next cycle and see how it goes.

Maybe I can try the OPK route. I just don't want to sink a ton of money on them to test daily since I don't know when I should test (esp. when my CM was so scarce this month). I think it may be a good idea next cycle, though.

My doc doesn't want to hear from me until I've tried for a full year. I have called about not getting a cycle the first 3 months off bcp and then I called for whacky cycles. They keep telling me to wait 1 year before calling. I guess my body's taking a long time to adjust off bcp so they're not concerned yet.

Thanks for the opk suggestion. It may be worth it.
