How do you chart when you don't sleep well? I rarely sleep an entire 3 hours straight. I go to bed around 10:30 and get up at 5, but I wake up an average of 4 times a night. Will my temps be usable or should I do anything different. I am using a clearblue easy fertility monitor, but I want to continue charting. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I know that I read up just to try the best you can. I think it's important to take the temp at the same time every day. I was taking it when I simply woke up at first (sometimes at 4, 5, or 6 am). My temps were a little screwy. (They still are, though.)

I guess all you can do is try to take the temp at the same time every morning and try not to move before temping. Even when I wake up at 4am, I try not to get up and move around.

I think that some temps are barely affected by waking up during the night. However, I think some women are greatly affected.

So... I guess I dont' have an answer for you! I just know that when I gave up temping upon waking all hours of the night, I had a more predictable chart at 7am every morning, regardless.

(My temps are still all over the place, though... so I'm still figuring this out).

I hope someone here has better advice for you than I!

If you are consistently waking up every night, then you should still be able to see a pattern because all of your temps will be affected.

Like was said above, I think if you consistantly take your temp at the same time everyday, that will be enough stability to show a pattern.

GOOD LUCK!

I wake during the night as well, I sometime even get up to go pee. But I temp at the EXACT same time every morning, and so my temps are very consistent.
Waking during the night won't affect your temps all that much. Just do the best you can.

I have the same problem. I changed my temp time to five am to try to help with that. If I wake up between 4 and 5, I usually just go ahead and temp and use a temp corrector to adjust my temps. If I wake up at 2 or 3 I just try to go right back to sleep.
