Hi ladies! I have a couple newbie questions...

Temps - Do they remain elevated during & after ovulation and then drop when you are about to expect AF? Or do they drop right after O?

Cervical Position - Does your cervix close, drop & get hard right after ovulation? Will it do this if you were able to conceive, or does it close and stay high & soft the whole time if you have conceived?

I'm new to all this & have been trying to keep track of what the cervix does during my cycle. I got a positive OPK on CD16 (Oct 7) and my temps are still really high, my CP seems to be high, soft and closed. I have just began keeping track of these so I don't know if I had these sort of symptoms before after O'ing, or if I am just one of those people who is thinking too much. My AF is due on the 21st I believe.

Thanks for the help!!

They start rising the day after you O and stay elevated until AF or continue to be high if you are pregnant. Some women's temps start declining a few days before O, while some women's stay high until AF.

Yes, your cervix will close, drop and get hard after O, sometimes gradually. I've heard (and read) that your cervix will do this even if you are pregnant as well.

your temps will rise or stay high till af is due some women's temp drops the day before or the day of, as for cp that is completely dependent on the person everyone is different but it will close after O and your cm will dry up after O.

Your temps normally stay up after you ovulate. You might take a little dip somewhere around 5dpo-8dpo. I have seen a lot of girls charts do that and then come back up.

I only chart cervix position and not firmness or openness because I just really can't tell. I have had four kids so my cervix always feels open to me. This month my cervix stayed really high for several days after I ovulated but last month it went right back down.
