Well I was on the phone with DH, who isn't here thanks to the military and I told him I was going to start charting. He asked what that was, so I explained taking my temp every morning, checking cervical fluid and checking the position of the cervix. I waited for his reaction, but got nothing but silence. I asked him if he was still there and I got this response...
"That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard! Don't tell me about this stuff!"
I almost died laughing. Does anyone else's hubby think that charting is a little odd? What were their reactions?

That's HILARIOUS!!! LOL
DH and I agreed to use NFP for TTA and TTC before we got married, so obviously charting would be a big part of that. He took the training with me and had a pretty good idea about how it worked. Then after we had #2, we decided to learn a different form of NFP (Creighton) that would be better suited to my complicated cycles - so he took that course with me too. Our Fertility Care Practitioner REALLY insisted that he do all the charting, I would just tell him what to my observations were - having an active role in it would help him internalize the rules and everything better. Having him chart was the best thing ever, now when we need to TTA, he doesn't even have to ask if it's safe to BD or not - he just looks at my chart and knows exactly where we are. Sometimes I haven't looked at the chart in a few days, I'm the one who asks him if it's safe or not yet! LOL Same goes for TTC, he knows when we should be trying without having to ask. It's really nice.

Wow, that is really awesome that your husband is so involved! I'm brand new to charting, in fact I just got TCOYF on Thursday and am "practicing" observing things until the beginning of my next cycle. We are mainly using FAM to TTC when he returns from this deployment. It will be interesting to see his reaction when he sees me charting and taking my temp first thing every morning!

My DF knows what I do and all that. He just doesn't want to know about it! I take my temp, chart everything, and then when he wants to BD I tell him whether he needs a condom or not. It's going to be funny when I actually do get pregnant because he's never going to get me to shut up about my bodily functions then!

My dh I think finds the whole thing annoying but he knows better than to bug me about it. LOL. I don't think he thinks it is disgusting though. He has even listened to me explain cm and cp to him a little bit. He won't listen long before he gets bored of me talking though.

My DH thinks it is the most fascinating thing in the world for some reason! He checks my chart every day, just to see what is happening, with my temperature and CM and everything, and if I forget to put the information in, he gets antsy, because he's curious, hehe... :-)

My DH finds it interesting but I made sure not to go into too much detail unless he asks. Of course, he jokes about it alot, like tonight when we were watching Scrubs, the episode where Carla & Turk are trying to get PG. He was like... Oh oh oh! that is us!!! I asked him if he would like me to get him a sex beeper (jokingly of course) so I could page him when I'm ovulating. He just started laughing and gave me hugs!!
