Okay girls, I have a question that I would appreciate some feedback on if anyone has any.

I'm supposed to schedule an HSG exam.
I'm CD36, chart appears annovulatory & I have No clue when AF will show or even if she will show.
Note: I was put on Provera after misisng my period for 4 months - May, June, July & Aug - which induced my Sept period
I called my Dr & I called the office that does the HSG and they said the following:

Dr. - call the HSG place and find out if they want her to put me on Provera again to induce my period.

Can an HSG after a period affect ovulation (as in increase the likelihood that you will ovulate) or does it just increase the chances of getting PG?

HSG office - She said the main thing is that I can't be having a period so that the technicians can see what they need to see. But I'm CD36 and have no idea when AF : witch: will come or even IF she will come at all (see above reference to 4months w/o period).

So essentially I have 2 options:

OPTION 1
I'm not having my period right now. Call back the HSG place and schedule the appointment to get it over and done with. Then see if AF comes and if she doesn't, call my Dr. to get back on the Provera (and possible clomid which she has mentioned)

OPTION 2
Call my Dr. to get a blood test to confirm not PG (which I already know I'm not), get on Provera & have it induce my period. Then schedule the HSG for after that period ends. And of course Hope that I ovulate on my own.

I guess it's just a matter of waiting but I'm not sure which option to go with. Any thoughts or experiences you can share with me?? I've seen charts where AF shows up at 40+ but mine went 4months before so I really have no idea if she will show up at all without being induced. /sigh

Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

~ April

Hmmmm...that's a tough one. I would call the HSG place and see what they recommend. It could be that they need to have your period, so that everything's good and cleared out of there for them to look. Or maybe not--and they can go ahead and do it. I would think either way, they'll want to do a blood test to make sure they're in the clear.

Good luck to you hon! Hope you get the HSG done and it makes you O and you get your BFP super soon!!!
