Hi girls,
I was just sitting here and decided to enter my temp from this morning (no rush, had it saved)... so I entered it and FF gave me O crosshairs but the dotted line so I'm wondering if FF is as confused as I am at this point. So here is my situation, I'm going today to pick up Provera to induce my cycle so that I can schedule my HSG since my AF has been a no show. Today is CD37.
We BD'd (not even thinking I could be O'ing or anything, just getting one in before AF) on CD32 and FF is saying I O'd on CD34. I highly doubt that it was close enough to the 'possible' O, I wasn't monitoring CM because I was waiting on AF and I'm not even sure if I really did Ovulate on CD34 like FF indicates.
I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. And now I"m confused!
Do I even consider what FF is saying and give my body the 14 dpo to see if AF comes naturally?? or some rare chance that I could get a
OR
Do I go ahead and pick up the Provera which will be taken for 10days and usually around 5 days after AF shows?? I'm supposed to take a pee test before picking up the Provera at the Base lab but if I did get PG then a pee test would not really show anything.
In my mind the chance that I could get PG from this 'possible O' is not a possiblility in my mind but there is that 'chance' and I don't know for sure.
Would you all please look at my chart and help me?? Thank you.

I think FF is just being screwy again, those CH's make no sense. Though, I might be willing to change my mind if you could tell me a bit about your mucus over the last little while?
Oh, and one other thing. Your temps are super bouncy. Are you taking them at the same time every day? If yes, have you had your Prolactin levels checked? Bouncy temps can mean elevated prolactin, which can affect fertility.
Some women also notice that their temps are bouncy when they temp orally, as some nights they might breathe with their mouths open. Temping vaginally is the remedy for that one (but don't start that until you start a new cycle, switching mid cycle will screw up your chart since vaginal temps are often a bit higher than oral ones).

It doesn't look like you've o'd to me. If you're pregnant, the provera shouldn't hurt it, so I'd take the provera.

Thank you ladies. I was truly suprised to see the crosshair. I assumed I was having an anovulatory cycle therefore I wasn't bothering with monitoring CM since I've found it to be very inconsistent & I figured I was so close to AF showing any day that I just didn't think it would serve any purpose.
And yes, I've had my Prolactin levels checked and they came back normal. I have that listed on my chart page with all my other information / test results.
As for the Provera, it's supposed to force me to have a period and they require me to have a negative HPT before I can get the prescription. I will show my charts to the doctor again at my followup after the HSG. I just really don't think there is any way I could have O'd or be PG based on that one BD date.
I appreciate the input.

Sorry I didn't read about the Prolactin!
YES, DEFINITELY do a test before you discontinue the Provera. The Provera itself will not harm a pregnancy, but discontinuing it if you are pregnant can facilitate a miscarriage. I don't think it's very likely based on your chart, but it's good to take utmost precaution.

I would wait a few days, and I bet those CH will go away. I'm sure it's got you shaken though! How strange!

I have continued to temp and the crosshairs have stayed. Check out my chart.... I am wondering if maybe I did ovulate. Can anyone give me their opinion based on the temps following the CH that FF gave.
What do you think?

since I'm new and trying to learn how to read charts well - can someone explain to me why they don't make sense?? I've beenlooking at other charts on FF, many have post O temps look along the lines of what I've seen with mine so I'm not understanding what makes it 'not make sense'?
Any advice or insight is appreciated.

Is it because of the pre-O temps above the coverline? I was wondering if they could have been shooting up like that because my body was trying to O but unsuccessfully? Or that it's taking a while to get back to normal still since it was my first period in 5months since stopping BCP.
I guess we'll know by the end of next weekend I suppose if AF comes which would confirm a Luteal Phase.

The reason I am scratching my head over the CH's is because the pattern doesn't resemble a thermal shift at all. In order to confirm a thermal shift, you need 3 temperatures which are higher than the previous 6. FF likes to get really excited about big dips for some reason, and I think that's what's happened here. For whatever reason, it's interpretting that dip as more significant than the overall pattern - which isn't a biphasic pattern at all.
Also, your temp won't shoot up because of an ovulation attempt. Basal body temperatures rise in response to the production of progesterone, which is only produced AFTER satisfactory ovulation has occurred.
Have you tried changing the interpretation setting to FAM instead of Advanced? Did I ask that already?

I agree with everything Shawna said. True post-O temps will jump above where most if not all of your pre-O temps were. You should be getting a lot closer to 98.0 degrees if you did truly O.
