Okay, maybe this is just because I am new to charting and new to paying attention to what is going on with my reproductive system, I'm not sure.
Anyway, yesterday, I had my first DAY of EWCM and I check my CP and is was SHO. I was really excited because I was actually able to determine this, it's a big accomplishment for me. The day before it was lower and more closed, with no EWCM. Then today, I check again and there is no EWCM and my CP is lower, much more firm and almost closed again! I'm a bit upset with myself, because I jumped right out of bed(habit, this is my first week of charting) and didn't realize I forgot to take my BBT until I was putting in my contacts. SO I'm bummed because I really wanted to check to see if a thermal shift was starting.
Long story, errr, question, short, have any of you only hadONE day of EWCM and only ONE day of an open CP?? I'm hoping i'm not the only one!!

The bad news is that the BCP shrivels up the part of the cervix where good quality CM is produced and that can take time to heal again after you stop the BCP. It's not unusual for women coming off of a hormonal contraceptive to experience very little CM or CM that doesn't last very long. The good news is that the damage isn't usually permanent, and with time...your cervix should heal and produce more and more CM around ovulation. Hang in there!

I use to chart and do the temps/opks.. the works.. and it took some time to get use to doing every morning.
But then once you get use to it it's kinda a way to just lay there and relax a minute before you crawl out of bed.
It took my husband probably 2 months to finally figure out what the beeping was every morning.... he'd hear the
timer go off on the temp. and just think it was his pager or something.. ha!
I wish you the best of luck..
You will get the hang of it!

It can happen, and feeling SHOW(Soft, High, Open, Wet) is a very good sign of ovulation. Make sure to take your temp tomorrow and we should still be able to see a thermal shift.

Okay, I remember to temp this morning, and I think I see a shift! Ugh I wish I hadn't gotten out of bed so quickly yesterday!! What do you guys think? See a shirt?
ETA- I'm having some problems updating my ovusoft webchart, so right now only my FF chart is showing my temp from this morning.

You need 3 temperatures which are higher than the previous 6 in order to consider it a shift, one high temp can be a fluke - that's why the overall pattern is the most relevant.

I think there is a good chance you o'd!!! You will just have to wait a few more days to know for sure. Based on your cm and cervix position, I would pick day 15 as you o date, that is, if your temps stay up. Crossing my fingers for high temps tomorrow!!!
