Quick question... is it common to have a temp spike before a drop for AF?

I was so happy to see it spike today. But, when I went to the bathroom, there was some... hummm... moisture down there. I was NOT spotting, but there was something down there. Sorry, tmi.

Last cycle my LP was 10 days. Tomorrow will be 10dpo for me.

Last cycle I spotted for two - three days before AF hit. This time I'm not spotting... YET... unless what I saw earlier was the precursor to spotting.

Anyhow, I got off track as usual...

Is it common to see a temp spike before it plummets?

I dunno. I'm wondering the same thing. I started spotting today and I have a 13-14 day LP(I think)

Hummm... It looks like you had a huge drop today? It may mean that AF is about here. Good luck to you, though... I hope I'm wrong!

(BTW, side note - my open circles are because I woke up eary after getting several solid hours of sleep. I temped because I knew I wouldn't fall back asleep to get an accurate temp. I took the temps about an hour early)

I'm sure that obviously doesn't help your charting. I hope your friends are ok in SD.

BTW, I just went to the bathroom and there was the smallest of small spots on the TP. I'm sure AF will be here tomorrow.

I don't know how much longer I can hold out on being positive on TTC. I can't do another 60 day cycle. How can I get pg. when it takes me two months to get a cycle? It's just heartbreaking for me. If I get AF tomorrow, I can't even try to get pg. for probably a month and a half.

On top of that, my dr. never wants to hear from me on this. We're on around month 9 on TTC and the dr. doesn't want to try anything for a year. Heck, at my rate, that's only one cycle away.

Sorry to be so down; I just don't know what to do anymore. It's hard when you think about it and realize that if you got pg. on the first try, you would have given birth by now.

Hugs girl...I have crazy cycles too. I started spotting last night so it looks like we might be cycle buddies. Is there any way you can see a different OB? With cycles that long, that's not normal......they started testing me for things at 35 days. It sounds like your OB is just lazy and hoping to aviod it as long as possible. We've been TTC off and on for 14 months now, and it sucks!

I agree--you might want to shop around for another doctor, but it is the standard that most will want to wait until it's been a full year.

I'm so sorry that you're having such long cycles. Have you ever been tested for anything? Any blood work at all?

Good luck to you, and I hope that you're not getting AF spotting!!!!!

Jennifer-in-Italy, sorry about your long cycles. I'm sure you'd agree that I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It feels like you never even get a chance on TTC since it takes so long to O.

I'm still spotting today and have a feeling that she'll be here tomorrow, just like last cycle. I told my husband last night that I finally O'ed (I didn't before hoping to surprise him and have a BFP this time). As soon as I told him, my flood gates opened and I sobbed like a little baby.

Anyway, If AF is here tomorrow, I will give my doc one last time to agree to see me. If they put me off again, I will call another doctor.

Before bcp, I was fairly regular. You couldn't set a clock to me, but I never waited like this. It would be 4-5 weeks b/w cycles.

I have had blood work, but not with my gyno. She may do different blood work. I have another doctor for an issue I had years ago and he keeps me testing my blood every 9 months to a year. I've had great levels for him. He orders full panels. But, like I said, I don't know what gynos test for so my blood tests may not cover what they want to know.

I do know that my thyroid is normal, though.

I'm glad that you ladies are here to listen and respond. This is such a tough thing to go through it it's comforting to know other ladies are out there and know how you feel. As much as DH tries, he simply can't fully understand.
