Hi everyone!!

I am really wanting to do this charting business, but I'm brand new & not sure how to actually start. I've been reading all the FF lessons they email you & i just finished. I bought my BBT and so....am I ready to go? I think I may have mentioned here that I went off B/C (the patch) at the end of July; had my period at the end of August (right on schedule) and then nothing since then. No preggo symptoms & no AF. I don't care what happens at this point, I just want to know what's going on.
It works out quite nicely that my DH works overnight, so when he gets off work, he comes in & FIRST thing sticks the thermometer in my mouth (i'm not sure that I could stay still enough to do it myself. I am NOT morning person). We've done if for 2 days now and we're just writing the temps down on a piece of paper. I have SO many questions!
How do I or can I even start plugging these into my FF, since I'm not exactly sure of the date of my LMP (i know it was around labor day weekend, beginning or start, I'm not sure; just that it was the last week of Aug/1st week of Sept, the way it always has been before & during B/C) So, obviously, I have no idea where I am in my cycle (maybe my body has been *trying* to ovulate, but I haven't been aware) how do I keep track of things till I find something out? I HATE and DREAD AF, but honestly I'm ready to start fresh and try the whole charting thing and really I'm just looking forward to being regular or "normal" or whatever! Also, how can I get a link to my chart (once I get info into it)? Can I get a siggy please? (*begs sweetly*--been too shy to ask someone, but haven't figured it out on my own yet!)
I can't wait to start charting and being away from hormonal B/C for good...I just need the chance to start!

you cans tart wherever...I would just pick a rough date for the weekend you know you had your last period, and start from there. to get a link to your chart, go to the sharing tab on the left side and you can get everything there!

Go ahead and start! I know what you mean about just wanting to know what's going on!

As for a siggy--there's a board on the main JM page--"SiggysRUs"--if you read the rules on there, you can post to request a siggy be made for you.

Good luck!!!! Oh, and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks! I went ahead & typed in Sep't 1 as my last period. It said the cycle was 54 days long! Actually, of all things, I started today!!! Finally, out of the blue! So I can now say I'm CD 1!!! I'm so stinkin excited! How far will I get charting if I only go by temps? I'm still not comfortable checking my cervix, but if this is another wacky cycle, how badly will I need to know about my cervix? Yikes!

well, if you are uncomfortable checking your cervix, you can check your CM. You don't have to go all the way to your cervix for that, but the closer you get the better. Temps are good confirmation that you O'd, but CM can give you an idea before you O.
