I started charting yesterday morning. I am on the 13th day of my cycle. So, If I O regularly like I think I do. I should O tomorrow..or atleast sometime really soon. On the 25th I had thin creamy CM..Early yesterday I had thin creamy CM...and last night I had watery CM..My temp yesterday morning was 96.9...This morning it was 96.6..If I was about to ovulate, shouldn't my temp be rising? and shouldn't my CM be thick by now...My Dr told me that If I was having regular periods then I should be O'ing every month. I do have regular periods, and I thougth I was O'ing..But, since I've began to check my temps...and CM..Im not sure...Also, I have NEVER had Egg white CM. Anyways...I just started charting in the middle of my cycle to get me ready for a full month next cycle..Any advice is appreciated.

not everyone gets EWCM nor O's on CD14 even with regular cycles. If you have a 28 day cycle you could O anywhere from CD12 to CD18, and still have an okay to excellent length Luteal phase. It's hard to tell based off of a few temps and a bit of CM though-it's the forest you need to see, not the individual trees. Also, this could be your pre-O dip(some women get it, some don't). Again, hard to judge until you have a few cycles to look at.
I really suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility to learn more!

You should actually start charting on cycle day 1, which is the first day of your AF. Then continue charting until your next AF. This way, you'll get more of a better picture of what your temps are like and whether you have ovulated or not. If you ovulated, your temp should have dropped down, and spikes up and stay high for the rest of the time until you get your AF. Take a look at my chart. I am 9dpo now and my temps are still high. I am awaiting to see if my temps stay high above the coverline (which i am praying it will). If my temps remain high until atleast 18dpo, i am most likely pregnant.
Also, it is important to check your CM. You need to produce fertile quality CM or else the spermies will not survive on their journey up your cervix. You need to have eggwhites. Most women use PRESEED if you don't produce eggwhites.
It is not true, that if a women has her AF she ovulates. It somewhat works side by side with eachother, but some women have annovulatory cycles, which means that their body can work it's way up to ovulate, but in the end it just doesn't happen. Sometimes an egg is just not been released due to ovulation problems.
I was having a conversation with a "male" doctor once, and we ended up having a slight argument because he was telling me that women ovulates14days after their AF. And I was telling him that in my case, I DID NOT ovulate 14days after, and that I ovulated later for some reason. He wouldn't take my answer seriously and I got so angry because he did not obviously understand how a women's body works sometimes. Although yes a woman should normally ovulate 14days after their AF, not all women do. You think it if was like that, we all wouldn't have to chart and check our cm for ovulation signs? geez!!!!

I've actually had TCOYF for a few years now. I started reading it today. That's what got me thinking that maybe my CM isn't like it should be. I know that I started charting late in my cycle. I just wanted to get a head start for next cycle. I think I'm going to try the preseed..I wish that I could it in my area. Thanks for all of your help!

Well, it could also be how you interpret your CM. I have a hard time decifering mine and I've been watching it for about 4 cycles now. Sometimes I think it's wet, othertimes it's eggwhite. I think wet CM is still fertile though. It will definitely take a few cycles to get the hang of it. Also remember that having sex can make it harder to interpret your CM. Between semen and your arousal fluid and lube, if you use it, it can still be present when you check your CM.

on that! I use to have a hard time checking CM because of that reason. Preseed is wonderful--I used it for the first time on the last cycle we tried, and poof, we got pregnant.
I would continue temping throughout the rest of this cycle, and if you don't get your BFP, keep temping. Then you'll be able to get a clear picture of what's going on.
Good luck!
