I am really excited because I am pretty sure I ovulated on cd16. That means that we timed things just right! I started to have some major O pains and EWCM on day 15 and continued until day 16. On day 17 my temp shot up. My temp went even higher on day 18. Here is my question...Is is normal to still have fertile CM after ovulation?

No. It's normal to have *some* discharge after ovulation, but not mucus which is just as wet and lubricative as before. Once ovulation occurs you should notice an abrupt change to discharge which is significantly drier than the mucus you had before. It should not be as wet or as lubricative anymore.

When very fertile mucus is observed after an "alleged" ovulation, then you need to wonder about the possibility that ovulation hasn't actually occurred yet. Or is there an explanation for it - is it possible the fertile CM is actually seminal fluid? Is there any other reason your temps might have shot up like that? Have you been ill? Did you switch from oral to vaginal temping mid cycle? Did you consume alcohol on the evenings prior to the high temps? Did you take those higher temps at a different time than the previous temps were taken at?

The answer is no to the questions. I did take my temp about 20 minutes last this morning because I forgot to set the alarm. I am completely dry this morning so maybe it did happen.

Thanks!

Awesome! Sometimes mucus and temps don't line up exactly and that's ok. But when there is no significant dry up at all, then you need to question ovulation. Your chart looks great!

I think normally, right after ovulation ...you become dry. If you have O'd, you shouldn't be really be producing ewcm still. Maybe every woman is different, but from what I've learned and read in books, you should get ewcm prior to ovulation only, then right after ovulation, you should feel dry again for a few days or so.

So my guess is, you should have really continued to bd, up til the last day you noticed the eggwhites. I don't know, I trust the eggwhites more then temperatures.

I agree. I use to have a hard time trying to trust my body versus the temps.

Good luck to you though, I hope you get a BFP here in a couple of weeks!

I'm STILL getting EWCM . Tons of it. How long can I possibly produce it? We did another insemination yesterday.

Want to hear something really crazy? I've been having some pregnancy symptoms Tender breast, nauseas, uterine cramps, and I have been so hungry. I got another positive on the OPK. I may be going completely crazy.
