My doctor is saying that I am 9 weeks along. I thought that I was about 4 weeks. Can you look at my chart and tell me what you think? How far along do you think I am?

Yup 4 weeks. Your doctor must have calculated the due date based on the Last Menstrual Period, which assumes you ovulate on day 14. Using your LMP would make you 9 weeks, but it's wrong since you didn't ovulate on day 14 (only 12% of women do that).

I've had this happen 3 times. I told my doctor not to use LMP as it would be wrong, but he didn't understand...so he sent me for an ultrasound, which confirmed my date based on conception rather than LMP. Doctor's LMP date was 2 months off (I ovulated on day 64)! The second time, he still wouldn't believe me and I got an ultrasound to confirm the date I was trying to tell him. This time he just asked me what my due date was.

Just remember--when they do an ultrasound, that'll be your actual due date. Some people get very upset when they go in and it's not exactly what they thought it was based on LMP or O date--but based on your chart, it sounds like you're right!
