I bought my BBT Thermometer TWO weeks ago and the battery is already dead! It's a walgreens brand. Have any of you had problems like this? Not sure if I need to get a new battery or a new thermometer. Just wondering what brands you guys have been using...

I have the BD brand sold by Rite Aid. I LOVE it! I got it for $7!

I had a different one from Rite Aid before and I am not sure the brand... but it says Bestmed on the back of it. I kept it for some reason when it died. The BD one I have works sooo much better. The Bestmed one died after about 5 months. I feel like this one is sooo much more accurate. With the other one I could temp and get one reading and then temp again right after and get a WAY different reading. With the BD one if I temp back to back I am usually only off .1

I remember the day mine died. I was close to O and pretty upset. It died around midnight when no stores that sell BBT's around here are open. Poor DH even called ALL the local grocery stores that are open 24 hrs.

i found the one I have online for you so you know what it looks like.....

Mine did the same thing. Try taking the battery out and putting it back in, that is what I have to do with mine. For some reason the connection comes loose very easily.

I agree with Jennifer--I've taken the battery out before and that's done the trick.

I know Target sells them too, if you have a Target near you.

Thanks girls! I will try to take the battery out and then if that doesn't work I will have to go buy a new one. You girls are so helpful...

If yours is anything like mine, I have to do that once a month or so. The connection is a bit loose or something and if I put it down hard on my nightstand or anything I wiggle it loose.
