Hi ladies,

Can some of you please take a look at my OPK progression and chart for me and let me know if you think Ovulation could have occurred. I had some serious O pain / cramping (as in stop me in my tracks kind of cramping to catch my breath) on CD15 / Thanksgiving day. I've also had spotting which I believe is Ovulation Spotting.

Quote:
Spotting that occurs in the middle of your cycle or spotting that occurs some ten to fourteen days prior to the start of the next cycle is normal too. This spotting may occur during ovulation. Seeing a spot of blood during ovulation is considered an excellent fertility sign. It is thought that mid-cycle spotting occurs for one of two reasons. First reason is possibly that when the egg bursts through the follicle, a little bleeding may occur. This blood will then make its way out and show up as “spotting”. Or, during ovulation, the level of estrogens rise, and this sometimes prompts the uterus to shed a bit of lining, which shows up in the form of “spotting.”[/b]

Thanks in advance for any help or wisdom!!

as of right now, it doesn't look like it. your opk looks close to positive for CD 16, but I can't tell for sure. I think if you give it a few more days you might see something.

I think you may have had a postive on day 16 too. With the spotting on your chart right now I think you are probably pretty fertile but I don't think you have o'd yet. Hopefully soon! I hope you have a big temp rise today!

Thanks for taking a look at my chart. I think my body is acting really odd and I am not sure if I'm having ovulation spotting or if my cervix is irritated and spotting from BD'ing. Though it waited nearly 7 days after the HSG to show any spotting of any kind so I'm not sure which one it could be. =\

Just to be on the safe side we are continuing to BD every other day (since i'm not sure if my cervix is irritated or not). They had to use a balloon catheter to open my cervix to do the HSG test. Here are some updates on my OPK progression. It's still 'trying' to O maybe????

Todays temp was up to 97.01. Yesterday and today the temps went up. I am about to go take an OPK and then I will take another one later this afternoon.

** I played with FF and if my temps go up for the next 2 days (Tues & Wed) I will get a Crosshair for Ovulation from FF on CD18 which was Yesterday / Sunday. So I guess we will see but i will take an OPK anyways just to see what it looks like for today.

I think if your temp goes up again tomorrow, you'd likely get the crosshairs & FF will say you O'd on CD17 b/c that was the last low temp before the 3 day rise. Good luck & I hope you'll get an answer soon!! ((HUGS))

Looking at your OKS's I would say no, but temps are more accurate, OPK's do not work for everyone.
Good Luck!

Updated PIC of OPK's.... We got in another night of BD'ing and poor DH was so tired but he woke up while I was watching the rest of Notes from the Underbelly and was feeling a little frisky. He's so cute! I just hope temps go up the next 2 days so that FF will give me an Ovulation CH then we can take it easy a little bit.

Do you ever take your OPKs during the middle of the day? Just curious...

I hope you get some crosshairs soon! Good luck to you!!!

Yes, I take them mid morning, mid afternoon, evening and late night if I'm up. I had 40 OPK's so I made sure to test as often as I could. If you see my OPK progression above you will see alot of midday testing (10am, 11am, Noon, 1:30pm) I wake up around 9am and have breakfast so I usually eat lunch later in the day so I have to hold off taking my OPK a few hours if I've had much to drink which I try not to but I can't eat a meal without something to drink with it. Thanks & I hope I get some CH's soon too!

Today's temp was a big suprise and I'm like, Oh well, we won't BD tonight but will tomorrow just to cover our bases until I see my temps rise. Silly body!! I saw the temp and was like NO!...and then I thought about it and just hope my next few temps are above 97 so that I can get an Ovulation CH.

EXTRA NOTE: My Ovulation Spotting stopped finally. There was none today.

(((HUGS))) I am not sure what is going on here but I think I would keep using the opks. I have never been very good at reading them because mine would look like yours where I thought they were positive. The one time I had a blaring positive was the month I got pregnant. I would keep taking them and see if you get one that is really dark. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer.

Thanks Patty and everyone!

I still have about 15 OPK's left and we are BD'ing for the next 2 days then a day off, then repeating every other day until I get a FF Crosshair. I will probably go out and buy some better OPK's this Friday or Saturday (if I can make it out in the snow) and pick up some good OPK's when we go Grocery Shopping.

Ugh...we had to spend $450 today on 4 new snow tires for DH's car and so now I probably won't be able to spend as much on OPK's. I'm going to see if we can get to COSTCO but it's further away and the snow is pretty heavy right now.

My temperature went up today so I just hope it will go up the next 2-3 days so I can get that DANG! Ovulation crosshair!!!
