During my pregnancy with him I found out I have some internal anomalies that will make getting pregnant difficult. (It took us 15 months of no birth control to conceive him.)

So now that we are ready to conceive #2, I want to make sure we are maximizing our chances by DTD on the best days.

How do I start???

Welcome! I suggest reading the book "Taking charge of your fertility" to learn as much as you can about charting and TTC. It will teach you a lot about basal temps, checking CM, and checking cervical placement to best determine your fertile period.

Welcome! Glad you're here! It took us 18 months of TTC(charting on and off) with one m/c to get our sticky bean. It can definitely be frustrating, so I know where you're coming from. Charting is a great place to get started, especially if you really want to find out how your body ticks.

Good luck, and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

I think the best way to get started is to go over to Fertility Friend and read their info. I also recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I think the info on TCOYF is the best. I would start by buying a bbt thermometer and start taking your temp the same time every morning. You need to take it before you get up or get out of bed. Then just add your info to your chart every day. We will help you figure out what you are doing as you go along. Don't worry if you totally understand everything the more you chart and the more you hang out here the more you will learn. I also like TCOYF software. I think it is really great for beginner charters because it tells you everything each day and you don't have to know what you are doing to use it.
