Just wanted to let you girls know that I'm still here and beginning my second cycle charting! As some of you know I had some complications with not being able to take my temp so I ended up stopping last cycle and didn't get to complete my very FIRST chart. Which was so frustrating! But, AF came today which means I can start all over again and am so excited to complete a full chart! Pray nothing messes it up this time!!! haha

Okay, so here's my question. I had made the decision to begin taking my temps vaginally to get more accurate numbers once I started a new cycle. Hope this isn't too gross of a question...although I've seen a LOT worse on here! haha Do any of you have problems temping vaginally when AF is here? I'm affraid it will be messy??!! Or am I imagning it to be worse than it really is? Any suggestions? lol

I don't temp when AF is here. Well, I temp orally, but not vaginally. I usually temp both ways, and just record one set of temps on each chart. It's not a huge deal to skip temping when AF is here unless you have short cycles and ovulate very shortly after AF.

I temped vaginally, but I also used tampons, so I wouldn't think it would be that messy. Also, I agree with Jennifer--most of the time I didn't temp during AF--I used it as a nice little temping break.
