I ordered a shirt from cafepress last week that says "I'm gonna be a big brother" for my son, Kieron to wear when I find out that I am pregnant. Now, my family lives in a different state than me, so I'm not really sure how I will actually do it. Maybe take a pic of Kieron, text them the photo while I'm on the phone with them ? not sure yet. Or take a pic of him with the shirt on, email it to them and tell them to go check it while I'm on the phone with them. Anyways, just curious if you all have a plan on how you all will let the world know, or a surprise for telling dh or anything?

Well, I won't be telling until I am past the first trimester. I'll send my mom a bouquet of blue and pink flowers my dad will get a cookie bouquet, and not sure for DH's parents...probably onesies with "Made in Italy"written on them and everyone will be told to not tell anyone until we tell them they can.

Dh will not be told until I get the bloodwork confirmation from the docs(easy since he leaves for work before I wake up and I can get it same day). Depends on the time of year how I will tell him.

We haven't made a plan. I've thought about how I'd tell DH but not the family. I don't want to think about it for some reason because the more I plan, the more disappointed I get every month when nothing happens.

But, for DH... I was thinking of making him a T-shirt and drawing on it. I was going to do a cute cartoon with spermies. One will be inside the egg and the others will surround it looking disappointed. The one inside the egg would be saying, 'woo hoo!'

I'd love to do that because I think he'd get a huge kick out of it.

I'm not sure... we'll probably get Chloe an "I'm gonna be a big sister" shirt and send photos to everyone with her wearing it.

If it happens THIS cycle then we can just have her wear it when we go visit in January!

I had always planned to take DH to dinner, but get there early....give the waiter a baby bottle, and ask them to put whatever DH orders to drink in the bottle and bring it to him.

However....when I got pg, I was SO beyond SHOCKED, because we weren't really trying like we had been, that I just didn't believe it. Test came back positive at work. I called him the second I walked out the door(he was working nights that week and was asleep).

His response when I told him the news?

"Way to go, baby."

I think he was still asleep. LOL! He tells everyone that story now.
