Temperatures??

Hi ladies, ok so my story is that I have a 2 year old son and I have been on the pill for 2 years. I have my annual this monday but I really dont think that I want to take the pill anymore. I would really like another baby soon and I would like to let my body get back to its natural rythm. Soooooo.......I am trying to learn this charting stuff. I just started taking my temp this morning and I have had AF for 3 days now. Im just wondering since I plan on not taking the pill anymore when I will ovulate?? As far as the temp change does your temp increase before or after ovulation, are you able to tell you will ovulate soon from the temp taking? I appreciate all your help and I will keep trying to learn!!

It's hard to say what your body will do post BCP. The first few cycles will probably be screwy and you will have to just take them one at a time. Temps rise post_O and you will be able to tell usually about 3 days after for sure.

I reallly suggest buying the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" By Toni Weshler. Amazon and Barnes and Noble sell it for under 20 bucks. It's one of the bibles of charting. That book will teach you the basics of charting for conception, charting for prevention, and everything that is in between!

I agree with Jennifer. Each person's body reacts differently when coming of BCP.

It took me 2 cycles to get back to a normal cycle. That's when I started charting and got pg on cycle 3 after getting off the BCP.

But...everyone is different.

Yup, that book is wonderful! Definitely explains a lot!

When you O really varies from person to person when coming off of BC. I wish you luck though, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have!
