I've never known how to or what to look for. Yesterday it was soft and "shorter" than usual and it felt like it was opened a bit? I test on the 19th...

an open cervix is a sign of O or of AF. High, Soft, Open, and Wet is a sign of O, Low firm and slightly open is more for AF. Just keep in mind that what you think is high and soft now may be low and firm in a few months once you learn your cervix more.

One of the things I learned when I was TTC was to always check your cervix at the same time of the day, and the same way. It changes throughout the day, and I would freak out. LOL!

Good luck!
