CM and CP

I do know my body is probably just adjusting to being off BCP and it's probably punishing me for taking it off of the BCP. I reassured it last night that if I could be on them I would!!!

Anyway, I tried Jennifer's way of feeling my own cervix, but my fingers are just too small. DH and I decided to BD and beforehand I asked him to feel my cervix. He found it pretty easily and he said it felt low, kind of firm, and somewhat open. The CM he took out had a whitish color to it and it was stretchy. But my temperatures keep dropping!! This morning it was 97.11!!! We're going to BD just in case, but I really don't think I'm going to ovulate my first cycle off my pill. I'm not surprised, but I won't deny I'm disappointed.

What should I rely on more? The temps? CM? Position of cervix? I was using the Clearblue Monitor, but I missed a few days so I'm not relying on it anymore. The OPKs show a darkish line, but it doesn't match the control line.

when i went off BCP my temps were low low low, and they stayed low for months without ovulating or having a period. Some people get back into cycles quickly but i sure wasnt one of them! As for signs of approaching ovulation if i had to choose just one i would say CM, but i personally think CM and CP together is best and certainly more important than temps. Temps are very useful for seeing when ovulation has occured after the fact, but they dont give you much warning beforehand...as for monitors i cant comment because i dont use them!

I think using a combination of everything is good. I used temps, CM, CP, fertility monitor and OPKs when I was TTC. However, I really think you should be careful NOT to beat yourself up in your first month off of BCPs. It can happen, but for most people it's really hard to get back on track hormonally after being on the pills.

I would just see how this cycle goes...and start over with the monitor next month--I found it a really useful tool in TTC--I loved it!
