*Puppy Dog Face*

I am supposed to start taking my Provera to induce a period. I was all set to start taking it. However, I accidently entered a temp for Saturday 3/8 and FF gives me CH and says that I am 9 DPO!!!!!! I am a little afraid to start taking the Provera now! I let that "fake" temp in there for tomorrow, so you can see what my chart looks like with it. The thing that makes it hard to intrepret is that I stopped using OPK's and I stopped paying attention to my CM like I used to. I had kind of given up on this cycle. But, now Im not so sure. Please give me your honest opinion. I won't be the least bit upset if you don't think I o'd. I promise!!!

TIA!

I don't think you o'd at all. The temperatures certainly do not meet the criteria for a solid thermal shift, FF is being silly again. There is no harm in taking Provera if you are pregnant, it is the STOPPING it that can cause early miscarriage if you are. So if you want to be cautious, simply take a pregnancy test before you are scheduled to stop taking it and if it's negative, then you know it's safe to stop.

Do you mind if I ask why you're inducing a period already? I've conceived babies from ovulation occurring as late as CD54 and CD60. I was under the impression that you don't need to induce bleeding until you've gone 90 days without a period.

Thanks for your response Shawna. I didn't think I o'd either, I just wanted to be on the safe side, just in case. The reason I am taking Provera is because my last cycle was 83 days and annov. It ended with 3 days of spotting, then 1.5 days of heavier spotting, and then 1 more day of really light spotting. I saw another Dr. this week for a second opinion on my long cycles, and she doesn't think that the "period" I had was actually AF visitng. I guess she thinks it might have been some breakthrough bleeding or something like that. Anyway, she wants to do some hormone tests on CD 3 and CD 21, and then probably start me on clomid if It showed I wasn't O'ing. I guess all of this combined is why she wants me to start the Provera.
