Hi! I am Melissa. I have two girls (23months and 3.5yrs) I am married to a US Navy sailor.. going on our 6th year. Okay, here's the scoop:

I am new to this charting thing. It is so confusing I have even done the tutorials. I understand it, it's just a bit confusing. I am on CD16 and I believe I O'd on Friday. Well, my temps just started dropping out of no where yesterday.. ??

I don't understand why?? Is it normal? Thanks for the input.. and here is a link to my chart.

Hi Melissa, welcome to the fertility charting board!

You've got a lot of open circles on your chart(disturbances of some sort...taking your temp far from the normal time, etc) which makes it hard to know for sure what is going on. It could be that you have O'd, but it looks like you may have tried and not succeeded. A few more days will make it a little more obvious what is going on.

I agree, you might not have O'd yet.

How long is your cycle typically? Are they regular? Sometimes it just takes awhile to figure things out. I know when I first started temping I was always forgetting and sleeping in.. or talking to DH first... or going to get DD... so my first month was a little wacky too

Your temperatures haven't confirmed a thermal shift yet, which simply means that either your body geared up to ovulate and didn't go through with it (keep watching, it might try again) OR your temps are just taking a few extra days to rise in response to ovulation. Sometimes they do that too.

Yeah, it has been really wacky at my house. Getting up in the middle of the night etc. So it's made it really hard to chart temps.

My cycles are the normal 28 days..

I am literally in tears because if this isn't it, Dh has changed his mind. If I am not already pregnant, it isn't happening.

Please tell me that it is just a temp mishap...

It might totally be a temp mishap! If it is, you can use the mucus only to determine if it was a false alarm or the real thing. Would you say the mucus:

1. Developed and changed over a matter of days, becoming increasingly wet?
2. Became slippery at some point?
3. Dried up abruptly - a drastic change from being slippery to being substantially drier the next day?

It's so hard to say...
It was pretty wet for a few days.. then it dried up quite a bit.. but I never really get totally dry. We had so much sex that it is really hard to say what it did. I just know that it isn't as wet as it was a few days ago..

Bummer, if you're not sure, then that's not enough to confirm it one way or the other then either. You don't have to become completely dry, as long as it progressed to the point that it became lubricative and then changed drastically to something much drier. Seminal fluid can produce a wet sensation, but it will not cause lubrication the way CM does (or your own arousal fluid, but that dissipates within less than an hour of being aroused).

It has def become drier. Just not sure what to think right now.. I don't want to get my hopes up... but I really want this... this is my last call.

It's just so frustrating because I conceived my girls so easily.. and I was just as normal if not LESS with them.
